Is there a place where you can still donate toys for Christmas?

Just a heads up for those in the south Vancouver area, there was a suspicious looking guy scouting houses and attempted to break into my house. I was not home at the time but they are said to be in a Red minivan - possibly a newer gen grand caravan.

TOS'd 12-24-2014 04:50 PM

What area more specifically?

SpeedStars 12-24-2014 04:52 PM

Near white spot on Marine Drive

What's a decent place to rent a car for 3-4 days and the expected costs?

TOS'd 12-25-2014 01:18 AM

Just check the rates at a couple of common rental places to compare, because it all depends on your other details.

WTF I got shipped a kit from VLEDs with a declared value of 19.99, CBSA decides to tax me on it and Fedex slaps on a 10 dollar surcharge. This is straight bullshit is there any way i can dispute or anything.

MG1 12-25-2014 11:58 AM

Nope, dispute just means more time and aggravation for you. Not worth it. BTW, was that in US dolars?

Same thing happened to me. The $19.99 is a dead giveaway that something fishy is going on. As for Fedex and other courier services, they don't give a flying frick. They just gouge you whenever and wherever.

I just get stuff shipped to border town and bring it up myself. Shipping is hella faster and shit won't get ripped apart or broken. There's a reason why so many people get stuff shipped to US address and not up here.

Anybody know which (if any) Netflix has all the seasons of Top Gear? Or at least from Season 2 up? They removed most of the seasons from Canadian Netflix a while ago and they had it in the best quality.

stewie 12-27-2014 01:18 PM

Anybody use RC helicopters?

I was given a giant WLtoys skydancer v912 from the gf's mom for xmas.

She bought an add on HD video camera that hooks up to it so i plugged it in and started to fly it around.

if i look at the remote i can see it has a camera and video camera icon on the screen but i cant figure out how to turn it on. at best I've read that if its steady green, its recording. So, it starts off green but cant figure out how to switch between photo to video. From what I've found online there's 2 multifunction buttons on the remote, and pushing them makes it go from green to red but the icon on the remote doesn't light up indicating whats being done.

if anyone has this or the previous versions, could you please help me out?

thanks!

If you click on the Netflix icon, it'll show which countries have it.

According to the Postal Importation Remission Order (http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/r...age-1.html#h-2), you cannot be charged Duties/Taxes on anything under $20.00 CAD... of course, if this is USD they are allowed to tax you though. If you still feel like disputing it, you could always go to the nearest Customs office that deals with mail (this would be the new Canada Post building at the end of Ferguson Road at YVR) and dispute the charges. That being said, FedEx will not refund your "brokerage fee" so you might as well chalk it up to experience and take this as a sign to start shipping things to Blaine/Point Roberts.
