Try out monitor king on bridgeport, they fixed up my sennheiser headphones (wiring) for like $10.

How much do you get back if let's say, I want to cancel my insurance for my car?
Like 1 month in, or 2 or 3. :| :concentrate:

Not likely as most banks are not open on Sundays therefore Monday will be a rollover holiday. Even TD (which is open on Sundays) will be closed this Jan 2nd.

It's my best friend's birthday in 3 weeks and I want to do something special for him. I was thinking of getting a suite that could hold maybe 5-10 people? The cheaper the better but cost is not that big of an issue as long as it is worth it's value. Anyone have somewhere they could recommend? I have looked at the landis, sheraton, and fairmont.

Graeme S 01-02-2012 06:25 PM

So I went to Silvercity Metropolis for the first time in like...years. I usually go to scotiabank downtown, and bring in outside food all the time with no problems. At silvercity they gave my girlfriend crap for trying to bring in a bubbletea (luckily sealed, just walked out of sight and put it in my bag).

I thought I remembered that the law changed saying they couldn't prohibit you from bringing things into the theatre? Lomac, I'm looking at you 'cause I think I remember you posting that.

jeedee 01-02-2012 07:12 PM

...There's always been a rule that prohibits you from bringing outside food into Silvercity for like...20 years :lol

Depends whos working that day I guess. Some people are cool about it and others spaz at you about it.

The ones that spaz about you about it, just want you to spend money on their overpriced bullshit :2finger:

Can only bring in food sold AT the theatre, e.g. the pop corn, BK, etc. Complete rip off as there's a BK right at Ironwood for like half the price :fuckthatshit:

Just thought I'd share this, since every time I show someone it gets an interesting reaction. This is where I'll be staying while in Kyoto next month.

nine hours

I walked by before it, and it seriously looks like a futuristic space station when you look in

dlo 01-03-2012 01:59 AM

Looks too plain lol, please give details on how it is though

That looks like something out of Minority Report or something! Man I miss Japan... I really really want to live there someday :considered:

SkinnyPupp 01-03-2012 02:47 AM

It's definitely an interesting concept. I am blown away by the use of iconography... You might think it's "plain" but I disagree. I do agree that it's not for everyone, and probably not even the best setting for lodging, but I still think it's interesting and can't wait to check it out

EmperorIS 01-03-2012 03:26 AM

can anyone recommend me a mechanic for service and repairs specializing in toyota/lexus cars

sonick 01-03-2012 07:44 AM

murd0c 01-03-2012 08:22 AM

Graeme - Not sure if this is the thread you remember, but I just dug it up.

A few people agreed with your original post that they've never had problems with bringing in outside food, but no confirmation that it's actually officially not disallowed...

I was trying to find this info again as well...

Bag of M&M's in pocket and a water bottle is all I need.

If they ask about water bottle, I tell them I have to take my meds in half an hour. That usually does it, but they rarely ask. If they do ask, I tell them, "Do you want me to make a scene right here and now about how you are going to prevent me from taking my meds?" That shuts them up real quick." If ever asked what kind of pills, I will most likely say Ritalin or Heart meds.

Water bottles are generally OK just about anywhere. I went into Rogers Arena with no problem the other day.

Hey, if a woman can carry a whole case of pop between her legs and under her skirt, I can at least hide a bag of M&M's in my coat pocket, LOL.
