I want to be a mechanic again, I'd just have to restart my apprenticeship and take some schooling over (which wouldn't be the worst thing, school would be really easy)

its just less pay (no pay for the first 6 weeks of school which is the main con.)
I'd be greasy and dirty again everyday.. but I'd be happy.

orrr stay at the dealership with a bunch of old raisins, sit at the desk and pretend to look busy everyday.. but its good pay, comfortable.. etc.

no it doesn't seem like it, I talked to the service manager (who's a complete joke and doesn't give a shit about the company or anyone else he just likes the title) but anyyywas end rant*
I told him right from the start I wanted a position in the shop and he basically laughed in my face.

which, to be honest I expect and am not surpised when people do..I look very out of place as a mechanic. BUT I work my ass off to prove people wrong. The shop that hired me back home didn't think I'd last more than a week and the owner said I would surprise him everyday

Last month I got this text from a friend that brought her car to my old shop (the owner of Park Mufflers' name is ED)
but it really made me wonder what the fuck I'm doing wasting my time sitting at a desk.. it's kind of what started this whole rethinking my career choice. I was really good at what I did, I'd love to pick up where I left off in my apprenticeship but at this point I don't even care about starting from square one and being shop bitch again.

I miss my truck. Lifted '92 Toyota SR5. Not to sound like a douche but I miss the road rights... nobody tailgates you, nobody cuts you off, nobody brake checks, nobody boxes you out when trying to merge, people give you a wide berth in parking stalls, not worrying about speed bumps/raised driveways/potholes, I could go on and on.

You really attract negative treatment when you're driving a lowered, ultra slow POS Civic hatchback. Not to hate on Honda guys but I really don't see the hype surrounding these little cars.
