Bodywork guys (ts14?) - is it possible to repair/respray clearcoat on a car without completely repainting it? The roof on the Prelude suddenly got really bad and is really spiderwebbed and frosty looking.

It's gonna be hard. I have to sand down the old bad clear and respray it. Once the base has been touched, it has to be re sprayed.

So sadly, u have to repaint the roof. That's the proper way of doing it

what is the best way to get rid of an old car that isn't worth buying? I looked into the BCscrapit program and it is not eligible.

Few days old now, but just heard about it

So a comic book artist, Rafael Albuquerque, was tasked with drawing a variant cover (limited) for the Batgirl comic, supposedly he came out with an initial cover but was told by the powers that be @ DC to make it more 'extreme'

Anyway he drew this cover with the Joker and Batgirl, an homage to one of the most controversial but popular Batman/Batgirl storylines called 'the killing joke' (ca. 1988)

The Killing Joke is a storyline where The Joker shoots Batgirl in the spine (crippling her), strips her, and then sends pics of it to her father (Commissioner Gordon)

Here's the homage cover, keep in mind the Batman comic-verse is currently fighting The Joker so it isn't just an homage but relevant

http://www.nerdythingsthatdontsuck.c...jokercover.jpg

Feminists and White Knights on twitter and the blogosphere went in an uproar saying the cover depicts violence against women :crazy2: and that the gun resting on Batgirls shoulder is pointed at her pussy :crazy2: indicating that The Joker is going to rape her...

The uproar was so huge that the variant cover got pulled by request of the artist

Here's one of the many angry articles about it http://www.nerdythingsthatdontsuck.c...jokercover.jpg

Sid Vicious 03-20-2015 07:42 AM

it was heavily implied in the killing joke that the joker also raped her

underscore 03-20-2015 11:00 AM

People were angry about the cover because it didn't fit with the current style of the comic nor the story in that book. That's what got it pulled at the request of the artist, not this SJW bullshit.

Doing my taxes, can't grasp the concept of carryover amounts.

All I know is that it says I have 1.00 for both federal/provincial amounts for available carryover on the CRA website. That seems really low?

It doesn't seem to have affected my return amount.

Question for you guys.

I have a cadbury chocolate bar still in its packaging, unopened, expired a few weeks ago.
It was stored in the fridge for about a year.

Long story short, I got it from a customer at work, and it was melting cuz it was summer, so I put it in the work fridge and forgot about it until someone brought it to my attention.

I've had expired chocolate - no problems there, but I know you shouldn't put chocolate in the fridge.

Is this still edible? Thanks

means you have nothing left. this could be one of two reasons:
1). they were all used up in previous tax years
2). your education credits were never recorded in the years they occurred

Also, i'd suggest digging up the tax thread from last year or starting a new one for this year.

:suspicious: so people wouldn't be bitching if they made it an alternate cover for Batgirl Endgame? (the cover used there is by the same artist btw)

Also, all dc comics are getting a variant Joker cover because it's the characters 75th anniversary, even Wonder Woman is getting a variant with The Joker

No clue, I'm not the ones that's mad. But the pulled cover is a lot darker than the other two. I don't know a lot about the various series' but the pulled cover is supposedly more of a kids friendly one as well.

Contact with the leaves or twigs causes the hollow, silica-tipped hairs to penetrate the skin. The sting causes an extremely painful stinging sensation which can last for days, weeks, or months, and the injured area becomes covered with small, red spots joining together to form a red, swollen mass. The sting is potent enough to kill humans, dogs, and horses[6], and is infamously agonizing. Stories tell of horses jumping off cliffs after being stung, and supposedly one Australian officer shot himself to escape the pain of a sting.[8] One man who was slapped in the face and torso with the foliage said, "For two or three days the pain was almost unbearable; I couldn’t work or sleep, then it was pretty bad pain for another fortnight or so. The stinging persisted for two years and recurred every time I had a cold shower. ... There's nothing to rival it; it's ten times worse than anything else."[8]

However, the sting does not stop several small marsupial species, including the red-legged pademelon, insects and birds from eating the leaves.

It was only a matter of time.

I never took advantage of it, so it's no biggie for me.

Update to Home Shipping Charges

First, I would like to thank you for being a Walmart.ca customer. In the 3 1/2 years since our launch, we have shipped millions of items to customers at their homes and at pickup locations across Canada in an effort to save Canadians time and money. One of our pillars has been free standard home shipping to most places in Canada, but in a few days we will make some changes to our home shipping charges to ensure we can continue to give you great service and everyday low prices on items your family wants or needs.

Later this week we will introduce a $50 threshold for free standard shipping on home delivery, excluding remote areas in Canada. Once you reach this threshold, you will qualify for free standard shipping orders on home delivery on everything, except large and oversized items. Any purchases under this threshold will cost $4.97 for standard shipping to your home. We will still offer free shipping to a pickup location, regardless of how much you spend, at more than 5,000 Canada Post locations across the country and Grab & Go lockers if you’re in the Greater Toronto Area. We are always focused on giving you the best value when it comes to shipping, and we believe this is still one of the best values in eCommerce in Canada while allowing us to drive savings in our operations to pass on to you.

Again, thank you for being a customer. If you would like any additional information on our new home shipping charges, please click here.
