1st Data Recovery.

Flat rate, and no pay if unrecoverable.

Yeah that's one of the top ~3 from Google.

Problem is I'm not sure if I need logical or physical recovery yet. If only the former, there are some places that's only $99-150. While with 1st Data Recovery, it's basically price of the latter / clean room recovery.

Out of curiosity, does anyone here work at Open Road Lexus PoMo, specifically parts?

Anyone see a police chase in East Vancouver last night around 8pm?

Was driving home from dinner eastbound on 33rd past Knight Street and noticed there were several undercover Chargers in the area with some diving into side streets.

I live a block in from 33rd and Victoria, and right after I parked, and luckily before we had time to even open the car doors, a late-model white Mercedes coupe or sedan with passenger side damage darts around the corner and guns it down my block, with a undercover Charger on its tail. It turned right on Victoria Dr. heading northbound. A whole bunch of police cars with sirens blaring followed in that direction shortly after.

Too bad I didn't get home like 10 seconds later... otherwise I might have sat in the middle of our small street and blocked the getaway.

And get risked getting t-boned, shot at or even worse taken hostage by the person/people inside the mercedes?

Who knows who was inside/what they had...

It's best not to look for trouble there, Batman :lol. Let the PoPo do their jobs

It's a small street, and only wide enough for one vehicle to pass with parked cars on both sides. So all I would have to do is sit my ass in the middle of the street. No need to turn the car sideways.

I've seen more than my fair share of World's Wildest Police Videos. Car chases that escalate to shots fired or a hostage situation is extremely low.

Okay, maybe not with the wife and kid in the car, but if it was just me in the SUV, I'd do it.

Speaking of police chases, my friend saw this on Saturday:

i think you're right. looks like there's that small church in the background and the condo next to the T&T building.

You should take it in and get them to look at it, or at least give them a call.

Also, take it from my experience, the longer you wait or try DIY remedies found online, the more you decrease your chances of getting anything back.

If it's worth enough to you to even consider recovery, get it done properly is my opinion.

Has anyone here ever heard the term "going dutch" - I guess it relates to paying your own way when your on a date or something.

Co-worker insists its a real thing, but I think he's just a cheap ass.

GLOW 04-27-2015 02:51 PM

the stories are true, your coworker isn't making shit up. whether or not he's a cheapass remains unknown :troll:

Presto 04-27-2015 03:28 PM

I first learned about 'going Dutch' from Archie digests. Oh, Jughead, burgers will be the death of you!

"Going dutch" is a very real thing, although I think people just call it "splitting the bill" now... personally, if a girl hasn't offered to at least split the bill the by the end of the 3rd date, it's ejecto seato cuz!

6o4__boi 04-28-2015 07:32 AM

95% of the time i would pay for the first bill
I mean, you asked her out. I think it's common courtesy. Maybe on dates beyond the first, splitting the bill would be in the conversation. Unless she bitched out the servers, belched and farted every 5 seconds and spent the whole time telling you about her exes...then you go to the washroom and get the fuck outta there.

underscore 04-28-2015 08:00 AM

My rule was always that if she didn't at least try to split the bill on the first date, there wouldn't be a second.

fliptuner 04-28-2015 08:23 AM

If you asked her on a date, first time = always pay.
