once had to resort to actually shooting a crow with a pellet gun in my parents back yard because it refused to leave over fucking WEEKS, did not have a nest or anything within sight of the property. It would come like clock work at 5am squak and KAW KAW for 2 hours, fly away then come back in the evening for a few hours, torment the dogs and KAW for no joke, 2-3 hours
bottle rockets, paintball gun, 2 dogs trying to climb up the base of the willow tree at it wouldnt deter it. Hit it second shot with the pellet gun and it flew away, never saw it again
great win

I was approached earlier by a coloured man who was asking for change and gave me a story about how he's a rapper from some group named Pharsyde and is stuck here in Canada even though he's a US citizen but was born in Spain and has 4 kids in LA etc, and he even showed me a link to a CBC article on his iPhone 4. His story seemed a little too elaborate to be legit but he was wearing clean clothes, a new pair of Jordan's and his phone had reception. Gave him my change on the way out from the North Road Mcdonalds. Came home just now and Google'd his rap group Pharsyde and sure enough it's him and his story checks out...
On a somewhat related note, years ago late at night I spotted Flavor Flav at this very same McDonalds. I have a picture of this event saved somewhere on an old hard drive.

Same haircut, same facial structure, though he looks a more down on his luck now and isn't mean muggin. Like I said, I've seen Flavor Flav at this very McDonalds so even the weirdest shit is possible, lol.

I have some old rotors/sway bars/springs I want to throw away. Do I go to the dump or is there a place that will take it as scrap metal?

John Nash died in a car accident yesterday, can't believe it hasn't been mentioned here yet
for those not in the know, he was the father of game theory, a key element in predicting rational human behaviour in economics
he also battled schizophrenia and hallucinations most of his life and inspired the movie "A Beautiful Mind" John Forbes Nash, Jr. - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
RIP

Best way to remove Gorilla Super Glue off a plastic surface without damaging it? Can't soak it since it's an electronic.

Depends on the value of the car, coverage, discount level, volume, and what % if any, you negotiate with the brokerage (the last one is way after you've established your competency and client list).
Also, you have to average it out with the services that make little or no money (reg, permits, address change, coverage change, storage, cancellation, new plates, etc).
To start, you'll probably make a menial wage (by the hour).

A proposal for 1,000 secure bike parking spaces is to go through Vancouver City Council next week.
Councillor George Affleck, who’s presenting the proposal, says the parking spaces would likely go in buildings owned by the city that have open spots and in traditional bike rack situations.
“The number is 1,000 and it’s based on growth that we’ve been seeing per year for daily commutes by bike and future potential growth,” he says.
The City of Vancouver currently has $50 million in the parking endowment fund, mostly from revenue through Easy Park, and Affleck would like to draw from those funds to build the spots.
They would largely be focused in the downtown core, although Affleck says there aren’t any specific areas chosen yet, and the secure mechanism will require consultation from city engineers.
“Bikes get stolen and disappear and hopefully this will be a way to provide security for those bikes.”
The Vancouver Police Department says around 2,000 bikes are stolen each year, and only a fraction of those are returned to their owners.
Affleck adds he’d like to see shower and change room facilities added in with the bike parking spots.

Fuck, I hate Mastercard right now. I was looking at my Mastercard statement before paying it and saw this $5.00 charge - some kind of fee. I phoned to ask what it was for. About a month ago, I purchased lottery tickets using my Mastercard. According to them, using their money for gambling allows them to charge me 5 bucks. It's in the agreement. "Don't you read your agreement, sir?" Yeah, I really like spending my time reading 50 pages of small print for shits and giggles...............
Anyway, I've been buying lottery tickets for as long as I can remember. I always pay with cash. This was the first time I used the credit card. So I ask the lady on the phone if the 5 bucks is going to some organization that addresses gambling addiction. Nope, it's another reason to take your money. She told me "We are lending you money and if it goes towards gambling, we charge you." Fucking loan sharks............ hee hee. She told me some people buy two dollar tickets to find out later that they get dinged 5 bucks. Wow.
Anyway, live and learn.
BTW, I have never had to pay interest on a credit card. I always pay the full amount, so this is the first and only five bucks those fokkers are getting from me.

it depends
sometimes the lotto people ring it up as debit instead of credit, so you'd get the charge on cashback etc

I was chatting with my coworkers about it. Apparently this is only if you buy directly from the BCLC kiosks, or if you're buying through the BCLC website.
This won't apply if you're buying from a convenience store, because they're usually setup as just a standard transaction as opposed to a cash advance.

Yup, at kiosks only. I get my tickets at the Safeway on Broadway and Commercial Drive.
