I'm happy the news article says large dog seized rather then pitbull kills puppy in Yaletown. What a sad story.

Weird how almost no other breed of dogs are involved in these accidents..
I don't mind pit bulls, I've met nice dogs I really liked before, however there are so many bad owners owning an already aggressive breed that it doesn't make sense for most people to own them or have them around other dogs.
Don't really care about how "good" of a dog your friend has, we've had huskies in the past who were pretty aggressive and overall quite temperamental dogs, who never once had a problem with others. Pitbulls however seem to act "out of character" all the time.

You can tell in this case the pitbull's behavior is likely a reflection of its owners, who tried to flee the scene.

Dogs are generally a product of their upbringing, however the physical characteristics of some breeds will cause a lot more damage should they bite/attack something. A poorly trained pitbull and a poorly trained chihuahua are both more likely to bite you than well trained dogs, but I know which one I'd rather be bitten by.

thinkin of putting a G1W cam on my dd (95 teg)
how'd you go about the set up and making sure the wires aren't in the way? (without hardwiring)
is there a difference between G1W/G1W-H/G1W-C?

Don't blame the dog, blame the owner. Shitty owners will always impact a dog more than a "bad" breed.
It's like hating on lifted bro-dozer "coal rolling" trucks because of what they are. Nobody hates them for being trucks. But because they are primarily driven by certain types of people, often aggressively and with no respect for road users, this is why the average motorist hates them.
Ironically, they probably are the same type of people who own pitbulls and train them to be aggressive....

is there a difference between G1W/G1W-H/G1W-C? | Shove the wire into the edge of the headliner then down the A-pillar trim then into the dash out the center of the dash and into your cig outlet.
-H has a battery where as -C has a capacitor, if you hard-wire it and run it constantly then -C is better as it runs cooler and no battery to worry about. People usually get the -C regardless just to be on the safe side but I've had the battery version and had no issues with it during the summer in direct sunlight (though I don't run it in parking mode).

If you want to keep your cig outlet free you can always semi-hardwire it with an add-a-fuse and a cig outlet from Princess Auto.

i had a cam a couple of years ago but it was shit quality and the wires werent long enough to run it around.
Do you just pry the A pillar cover off and shove the wires through the dash from there?
do you keep it in the car or remove it everytime? Quote:

thanks, i'll keep that in mind. | If there's enough space just try to tuck it in there, or pry it wide slightly and slip it in. If you wanna be thorough just pull it off and put it back on.
I used to remove the cam and keep it in the glovebox out of sight, but got lazy and just leave it up when I park.
Yes I also did what was suggested previously and wired it to the fusebox via add-a-circuit and a cig lighter and just hooked it up inside the dash. Be sure you hook it to a switched 12v circuit and not a constant if you don't have a power meter.

If he gets in, then the Americans deserve to sink to the bottom of the ocean. Sad thing is, we'll sink along with them.

Our wonderful justice system at work: Quote:
On February 20, 2015 we reported police were searching for the suspect in a high-speed police chase that led RCMP after a motorcyclist through the streets of Surrey and right into Guildford Town Centre. Then, less than a month later, a video of the motorcyclist riding through mall and evading police surfaced online.
Now, the owner of that motorcycle – not the driver seen in this high speed chase – has been fined over $10,000 in tickets.
motorcycle
SEE ALSO: Police chase motorcyclist through Guildford Town Centre (VIDEO)
A provision of the Motor Vehicle Act allows police to charge owners of vehicles with penalties, even though that owner may not have been present or in control of the vehicle at the time of the infractions.
Because of this law, the motorcycle owner is facing $13,500 in fines for 58 infractions, including excessive speed, failing to stop for police, running red lights and driving without insurance.
Police were never able to locate the suspect riding the motorcycle.
Sauce: http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2015/06/m...uildford-mall/ | tl;dr:
-Motorcycle in high speed chase
-Drives through Guildford Mall
-Evades police and gets away
-Motorcyclist IS NOT OWNER of motorcycle
-Police charge motorcycle owner because they could no apprehend suspect
How the fuck is this even legal? They know the rider wasn't the owner, yet they're charging the owner with $13,500 in fines anyway..

I'm assuming that's different. If the owner says it isn't stolen, but will not divulge who was driving the vehicle, then the ticket must be paid by the owner.
