watched that Daily thing last night..

while he has a point i think he's over simplifying his opinion just to appeal to the audience and have people at home thinking "wow.. john's s right"

Racism aint going away.. it's ingrained in american culture as he says and it seems unlikely it will ever get better. The lines of society are getting broader not closer there's too many dumb people on this earth to elminiate hatred which is essentially born from nothing, born from history, born from parenting, born from groups perpetuating their own stereotypes

Happy Fathers Day, RS dads!

It's tough being a dad, let alone a good dad.

fliptuner 06-21-2015 10:05 AM

Father's Day is also the longest day of the year - how fitting.

SUMMER'S HERE!!!

LOL, every day is a long day, if you're a parent.

Anyway, went with kids for free breakfast this morning at Town Hall in Coquitlam...... well, free breakfast and pint of ale for the father. I don't drink, so gave it to number one son.

fliptuner 06-21-2015 12:57 PM

:yuno: invite?

MG1 06-21-2015 01:00 PM

sorry, ICE, it's a family tradition. Just kids and me. Maybe next year we'll invite uncle Frip.

I guess I should invite my other son(s) on RS. Like TOS'd and his twin brother.

fliptuner 06-21-2015 01:12 PM

We were going to go out for brunch but didn't want to wait in a line.

Just a chill day at home. Maybe go bbq later.

Any recommendations for getting AC recharged? Car is a 2010 Hyundai Elantra, it blows a tiny little bit cold but not much

meowjinboo 06-23-2015 04:43 PM

Im taking it to some shop near metrotown for my 07 focus ST, it's 80 dollars and 35 for an oil change. Greek mechanic. My uncle swears by him and takes his work vehicles to him.

Hondaracer 06-23-2015 05:18 PM

Kal tire on lougheed will do it for $100 + approx $15 in fluids

has anyone used those self-recharge kits?

meowjinboo 06-23-2015 05:24 PM

I've always assumed its just replacing some tubing and adding fluids no?

Hondaracer 06-23-2015 06:14 PM

dont even know if you have to replace anything, thought it was just refilling the coolant inside the little heat exhanger thing..

depending on the amount of work to get at it though could be worth it just to pay

Toyotas new Head of PR has created some major buzz, and not for the fact that she's the highest ranking female exec ever at the company but rather she's making headlines for posting drugs to herself and has been arrested for smuggling! (oxy's) Her offices at the Toyota HQ have been raided

Police raid Toyota headquarters after Julie Hamp arrest - BBC News

Quote:

Police have raided the headquarters of Toyota Motor in Toyota City, as well as its office in Tokyo.

It comes after the arrest of senior American executive Julie Hamp on suspicion of importing a controlled substance into Japan.

Toyota President Akio Toyoda said last week that he believes she did not intend to violate the law.

It is unclear what authorities were looking for in the raid, which is common after an arrest.

Toyota spokesman Ryo Sakai told Reuters news agency that the company would not comment because an investigation is ongoing.

Ms Hamp is Toyota's newly appointed head of public relations, the highest ranking female executive in Toyota's history.

She was arrested on 18 June on suspicion of importing oxycodone, a narcotic pain killer, into Japan. The substance is tightly controlled in the country.

Police said the drugs were in a parcel that Ms Hamp had posted to herself.

She told police she brought the drugs into Japan to help with pain in her knees, Kyodo News reported.

Well, that's a great way to start a new job, although an understandable situation in my opinion.

A simple search would have informed her that all forms of narcotics are illegal to be imported into japan, even if you had a prescription/doctors note, and im assuming she knew that which is why she mailed them to herself.

but yeah what I found most amusing is her position at Toyota and this being her first PR case :D

This might be a stupid question, but if I have three 12V batteries, and I want to hook them to a 24V circuit, can I hook two batteries in parallel and then put that in series with the last battery to make 24V? Or will that cause problems with charging and such?

Unscrupulous meat traders discovered selling 40-year-old beef, pork and chicken wings | National Post

Holy shit

Hehe 06-26-2015 04:04 AM

I don't get the 40yrs meat. I mean, it probably cost more to freeze meat that long than raising one from scratch. Sure you could re freeze however many times, but to preserve the look enough to be sold later to some dumbass, the amount of energy consumed would be staggering.

It's most likely a stunt to gather attention. I can get 40mth. But 40 fucking years?

StylinRed 06-26-2015 04:53 AM

My mom told me about that story thought it was some exaggerated or faux news site... :lol
Maybe some of the meat stuck in the back of the freezer was just really old, I doubt they specialize in aging the meat that long ;)

Or maybe it was just a really old cow :D
