lilaznviper: shower cartridge

maxxxboost 01-20-2012 08:01 AM

That looks like a Delta Shower Cartridge?
You can get replacement at any hardware place. Rona, Homedepot and stuff.
If you ask employees, they might give you it for free since suppliers give them spare parts. I had to replace mine and the guys at Rona helped me out. They also have them on the shelf but i told the guy that my faucet was pretty new and he gave me a replacement :).

lilaznviper 01-20-2012 10:30 AM

Went to homedepot and they said to contact delta. Rona guy told me to go to home depot. So now I'm online trying to get a replacement part. Which Rona did you go to?

Try Hillcrest Plumbing or Milani Plumbing.

Hillcrest is probably closer to you.

Hillcrest Plumbing and Heating - Over the years, quality and dependable service has been synonymous with Hillcrest Plumbing and Heating. For as long as our Main Street store has existed, our yellow trucks have been servicing the plumbing and heating

Vancouver Plumbing, Drainage, Heating & Air Conditioning | Plumbers & HVAC Technicians in Lower Mainland BC | Milani Plumbing, Drainage, & Heating

Might want to call these guys, too.

Pioneer Plumbing & Heating Inc.

Has anyone been to the U-Fix-It place in New West? I need to change tranny and differential fluids (VTM-4 and hypoid gear oil). Too cold and wet these days, and I'm way past due. 20 bucks an hour is pretty good considering how much the dealerships charge.

In other words, are these people scumbags?

Sky_High 01-22-2012 11:07 AM

Richmond? :heckno:

hillcrest plumbing... the owner is scumbag.

A relative of mine works for ab tech, they are very very good company.

Gridlock 01-22-2012 12:21 PM

Be careful with Milani. We use them sometimes at the buildings when shit goes south. EVERY invoice I have ever received from them has been wrong in some way. Never to my benefit either.

MG1 01-22-2012 02:10 PM

The guy wants a part. Nothing more.
Home Depot, no.
Rona, no.

Every Tom, Dick, and Harry is a scum bag. Some people at Rona, Home Depot, are scumbags. You need a part, you sometimes have to get it from scumbags. LOLOLOLOL.

Help! Anyone have a plumber they recommend? I have a few issues that cropped up right after CNY dinner.

1. Sink is now leaking - pipe to garburator is definitely broken.
2. The dishwasher is not draining - about 4" of standing water in the bottom of it.

dinosaur 01-22-2012 11:04 PM

YES! Dante Mechanical. Dude is fucking awesome....I use him for all my buildings and he is way cheaper than others. PM me if you want his contact info.

I can literally text him 24/7 and he gets on it asap.

It sounds like the dishwashers drain line is backed up, simple fix.

There should be a flexible line leading from the dishwasher to the sink drain, above the trap. Is that where it's leaking?

No, it's leaking from the pipe that connects the secondary sink to the side of the garburator. That one is broken - it split clean in half, with the flange inside (?) the garburator connection.
