Got a drive ahead of me with no reception, anyone recommend any pod casts?

TOS'd 09-29-2015 05:16 PM

Will I have a problem using a 25' 3-prong extension cord to plug in an 8-outlet power strip with surge protection for a computer?

Or better to get something like this: http://www.amazon.ca/Tripp-Lite-TLP8...ipp+lite+25%27

EDIT:
If anyone is going down to the states like tonight/tomorrow and are willing to help me pick up one from walmart/homedepot ($30 USD approx. before tax) let me know, thanks.

Rant:
Met up with a potential buyer for my car.
Buyer specified time and place. I was there 10mins early.
He showed up with his gf 20mins late
While trying to show the car, gf was speaking in another language pointing out this and that on my car. I understood some words I.E. rust, dents etc... She was trying to talk over me the whole time
RUDE!
Rant over

xm is really worth it if you drive out to buttfuck nowhere often like me.

In the market for a iPhone 6, US$549 vs CDN$769. Would you recommend buying one from an Apple Store in the U.S.? Any issues to be aware of? Relatives are currently in Hawaii with a tax rate of 4.5%.

I'd say just get it in Canada. Because when you factor the 4.5% tax, and the possible tax on top of tax when bringing back to Canada, any saving would be wiped out instantly.

Better yet, buy an iPhone 6/6+ from people who are upgrading and still under warranty. Then get Applecare. So you should save some money.

should i get a ps vita?
there's a couple of games i wanna check out

i had a psp before and found that i didn't really have anything to play on it and it looks like graphics-wise, the Vita is way more a step up.

anything i should look out for if i'm buying one used?

$549 + 4.5% tax + duty + conversion = ~$860

should you? if you like indie and/or japanese niche games or game on the run - yes
there's been a few decent ports. downside is they don't get updated like they do from main console.

what to look out for?
there's 2 versions. the older OLED and the newer slim model that's LCD. they're pretty cheap these days and if you're going used they can be found for $120-150 with some acceessories. I myself have the slim model w/ the BL2 bundle.

I'm told OLED is brighter but LCD has better battery life

vita memory is proprietary, therefore overpriced ~$2/mb
4mb memory card is useless. 8mb is BARE minimum 16mb probably ideal and 32/64 if you d/l games from PSN

if you're looking for a used one make sure it's 8mb memory minimum. more the better.

Congratulations, Toronto Blue Jays!

Hard to believe the two Canadian baseball teams almost took the World Series title three years in a roll back when. Americans were like WTF? The World Series belongs in the US of A, LOL.

Now if only those fucktards, Vancouver Cannots, can actually make it past round one..............

Hey guys I'm looking into an E92 328i 6MT. I understand that BMW are notorious for problems - anything in particular I should be aware of, parts that will go wrong, etc? And how are they as a daily driver?

My other consideration is the 2nd generation 4 cylinder TSX 6MT. Thoughts on that?

Thanks!!

What's up with all the cars getting pulled over by cops southbound before getting on oak bridge during rush hour.
I see this quite often. I don't think those cars would be able to speed during rush hour.

Ideas? There's always a group of cars too each time getting pulled over.

StylinRed 10-02-2015 01:11 AM

Didn't see this when it came out, but pleasantly surprised to see Jay cover the Celica :D

You cannot right turn on that intersection before the bridge during rush hour except for buses.

I forgot to mention that there will be no duty since they have been away for ~7 days. I ended up getting the 64GB iPhone 6 for US$679 after tax, which comes out to < CDN$900. Retail price in Canada is CDN$899 (pre tax).

So my question now - does the Apple Store here still give out nano sim cards for free? :)

I googled mapped it trying to find an HOV sign or no right turn on Oak st. Then looked at 70th ave, I think the cars being pulled over were on 70th ave eastbound turning right onto the bridge on a red light. There's a no right turn on red light sign on that intersection.
