Roam does Canadian SIM as well. Might want to do the math to figure out if the local prepaid options are cheaper, but here's their plans.

If a car has a noisy throwout bearing, and it keeps being driven til it eventually fails, what's the worst possible thing that would happen? Loss of clutch use?

6o4__boi 04-25-2016 09:42 PM

Won't be able to shift

fliptuner 04-25-2016 11:05 PM

Damage to the fork, pressure plate, maybe even crack the bell housing, worst case.

jeedee 04-26-2016 12:16 AM

was there an apocalypse breakout that happened where people had to leave burnaby?

had 3 motherfkers tailgate me, make left turns from the right lane beside me to go around me and all speed off like no tomorrow in a span of 2 minutes

jeeeez can't i just cruise at 55-60 at 11pm peacefully?

Will it lock something up or just lose the use of the clutch? I can drive this car without a clutch so that part doesn't bother me.

I've got spares of all those, I might just risk it then.

It'll get to a point where it doesn't just whirr and whine but you'll actually hear it grind and crunch - that's when you'll know it's completely spent.

Stupid question, but what is it that gives some engines that really rough, gritty sound? Example being the Jaguar XKR-S (jump to 1:04)

I want to stick some posters on my walls but i'm concerned about peeling the drywall when i remove the posters afterwards.

Other than using thumb tacks, i want to see if anyone has any experience with double-sided tape. I think there's ones made with drywall in mind but i'm not confident on their abilities.

jeedee 05-07-2016 09:49 AM

^have you tried black electrical tape? doesn't peel the drywall if you don't mind the black tape color lol

you can get this putty type stuff at staples that doesn't ruin the pin and you put it on the back of the posters and it will stick to the wall. The stuff is awesome

MG1 05-07-2016 11:47 AM

They're called Sticky Tack.

They leave a bit of oily residue on your walls after five or more years, but not that noticeable.

OR................... you can make your own. No need to colour it, though.

I use thumb tacks from Daiso for posters, but always wanted to try out the glue dots. Anyone have success with glue dots?

just taking a wild guess, maybe has to do with the firing order and the length/shape of the header? I only guess this because the shape of the header on the boxer engine in Subarus give it that distinct rumbling noise

but damnn that jag and Porsche 911's... :sweetjesus:

rJZx 05-10-2016 10:26 PM

Can anyone recommend a shop for a engine flush to get rid of carbon build up?

Looking to apply for a Chinese tourist visa as I may go to China next month while I am in Asia. On the internet, it says I need an itinerary with flight details, but I am unsure yet whether or not I will be heading there yet (visa is just to allow me the option). Anyone have a similar situation before?
