You need the itinerary or the consulate will say no. I did not have mine so I had to get my sister to email it to me and I had to print it off and come back in the next time I was free.

Do you know if I could apply for a visa overseas at another Chinese consulate? First time I needed a visa with a Canadian passport, thanks.

with upcoming water restrictions, we're still allowed to wash cars with spring loaded hoses right?

just double checking...strata wants to take away the wash station and i'm determined to keep it until the actual strict no wash restrictions are placed

Me too. I never set the alarm. Someone is always home and it's not like I live in East Van or Surrey. It beeps when things open. I guess I should set it up properly.

It's also a DSC system and not hooked up to monitoring system.

i think he meant call a security contracting company (like the one that installed it) to do a service call and help with that

Recommend exhaust shop for a resonator delete in Burnaby? I think muffler man was a recommendation I heard long ago. The one on Kingsway by 13th or smthn. I would go TSS but it's not a difficult job I figured I can pay a bit less and still get why I want

Try Quiet Muffler its on Kingsway in Burnaby before Mufflerman.

When I had my Infiniti, I did an exhaust upgrade and was quoted hundreds of dollars by Quiet Muffler to have the muffler taken out and install a new one. The hooks and everything were in place and it was a straight swap with a few welds.
I went to Mufflerman to do the job instead and about 1.5 years later the welded areas were cracked and I had an exhaust leak.

With this exhaust leak, I figure I'd just put back my OEM exhaust since I was planning to sell the car. This time I tried Quiet Muffler again to see wutsup. I didn't see that old prick (previous owner) but I did chat with some of the guys there and found out there was a new owner. He was a straight shooter and didn't give me that BS crap like "this is a complicated weld blah blah blah...".

He quoted $60 dollars for the job and they took their time to make sure it was all good before lowering the hoist.

Scammers and spammers are frustrating because Facebook doesn't take any action in eliminating them. They leave it to you to block them, which doesn't help prevent other people from being exposed to it. I've found that at least they 'care' about fake profiles. It's pretty satisfying to see them removed from Facebook.
To report fake profiles:
1. Click on the name to get to their Facebook page
2. Click on the 3 dots next to Follow and Message
3. Click Report
4. Select Report this Profile and click Continue
5. Select This is a Fake Profile and click Continue
6. Select Other and click Continue
7. Click Submit to Facebook for Review

At some point, you'll receive notification on the action that Facebook decides to take. It's nice to see the scammers get banned.

^ i guess that happened to me

annoyed me to shits
i used to just use my first name and the first letter of my last name cus i was too lazy to spell out my entire last name
one day, i get a notification from fb saying they locked my account and will only unlock it if i send them proof of identity (ie. passport, driver's license, debit card)

i seriously contemplated quitting facebook, but i figured i'd send em a redacted version of my BCDL with just my name and my picture. If that didn't work, fuck it, i can live without facebook. It worked. But to this day, it just blew my fucking mind that they thought my facebook was a fake account and needed it verified. My name is nowhere close to celebrities and I've 9 years worth of pictures, videos and shenanigans up on my profile. How stupid do you have to be to look at an account and determine that needs verification despite the overwhelming evidence that it's real.

Presto 05-16-2016 01:34 PM

^^^

Yeah. It happened to one of my accounts at my other job. It initially got hacked, and they spammed the hell out of my page. Once I got control back, the bastards reported my account as a fake, and it got banned. I left it to rot since I passed admin access to my real account as soon as I got control.

Re-flooring my cargo trailer. Any suggestions on what to use? I'm thinking 3/4", treated, t/g and then maybe diy rhino lining the floor and 2' up the walls.

I was driving on East on Charles St. towards Commercial Drive yesterday (a block before Grandview Park) when I saw 2 cars stopped in front of me. They both got out of their cars and were talking, so I thought they were being assholes and blocking the road. Before I could honk the horn, one of the guys started to throw punches. There was another man that was coming from the opposite direction and stopped to tell them that they're blocking traffic. I just sat there as they started throwing punches for a good 15-20 seconds. Cars started to back up behind me and they eventually got back into their cars and drove off.

Both of them didn't land a single punch and the car in front almost cause the guy behind him to rear end him. I think he did it on purpose because he kind of slammed on the brakes at the 4 way stop. I can only imagine what would happen if they actually got into that rear ender :lol

what do you guys use to clean your balcony floors and railings?

I've got black metal railings that has green moss growing on it and I've finally got time to tackle it this weekend.
The floor is vinyl...tried mopping a part of it but it looks like the mop can't really handle all that shit. I've gotta be mindful of the fact that theres a patio under my balcony so I can't powerwash or use excessive water.

Tips and tricks?

MG1 05-20-2016 10:19 AM

30 second cleaner. Scrub with deck brush, rinse.

Good place for passport photos aside from Costco, that's not too pricey?

^I think some Walmarts do them. I'd give them a call, I could be thinking of the American Walmart.

Anyone else notice this DHGate.com banner showing up on RS? It's a little nsfw........ not that I care, but others might.

walmart at grandview in east van does them, costs a little more than costco. mind you it's hit or miss at who you get. they messed up one of my passport photos once. i went right to the passport office and she's like uh, that's not the right size they didn't zoom in enough :seriously: i had to go back there and get the picture redone.

there's like 2 main people in the photo section. 1 is pretty good, 1 not so good.
i think blacks and LD does them but they're way more expensive than costco
