From what I understand the only time you have a child at Women's (which used to be Grace, which is where I was born) is when the child or you are at risk. Or if you happen to be close by and are in active labour lol. I've heard many wonderful things about them though. I wish I could have been able to donate milk to them, but due to being on medication I couldn't. |
Yup 5 feet or shorter. That she was. Just made it. |
Heading to the Commodore to catch a show tonight. Assuming I get there when the doors open, how likely is it to get a table on the balcony? I've been to the Commodore many times, but I'm always standing near the stage. |
wife is under 5 but went to childrens...still a good experience. anaesthetist took her sweet time though, i'm sure she was busy...we live in vancouver though so i think it's default unless complications like inaii said and burnaby....gambling with your life going there #neveragain |
so i bought a bag of chicken wings from save-on-foods, well a western family box, and when i was going to open the bag to prepare the wings, i noticed something small and black inside, when i opened the bag i tried to fish the item out, worried that it was a bug... turns out it was a shotgun pellet! wtf??? |
Steel or lead? It could also be a ball bearing from the processing plant. |

Unfortunately, they removed the tables on the edge of the balcony, but you're correct. Most people try and secure a spot in front of the stage. We got a table on the side, facing the stage. I definitely need to stay out the mosh pit from now on, though. I'm getting old, and the day after is sore everything. :P |
Recommendations on gutter cleaning in the North Burnaby area, please. |
Hey there, Hoping anyone with experience can chime in. I have cement splatter all over my car which is really pissing me off at the moment. The vehicle just had a complete full detail less than 2 months ago. I've never had cement splatter on any of my vehicles before so I don't know what to do but its spread out onto the hood, driver side, and some managed to get on the roof as well. They are small splatter specs. Any advice on how to remove the cement splatter? I tried touchless car wash at Chevron with no luck. |
I can't say I've ever had to deal with cement spatter, but read that diluted vinegar might help. If it's some heavy duty spatter, check out this thread - they have some product recommendations: Concrete overspray |
This is how racist our society is... Type in "Three Black Teenagers" and "Three White Teenagers" on Google. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cex3J1TWQAAShp5.jpg |
Cop sentenced for putting teen into coma police state! as is with Canada. The kid survived, but the taser put him in cardiac arrest as his brain was deprived of oxygen for 6-8 minutes. The guys permanently damaged. I remember this years ago... apparently the kids dad was or is a cop too. edit more info http://thefreethoughtproject.com/new...innocent-teen/ |

Hey everyone, I have a question about driving manual. During bumper to bumper traffic, is it bad for my clutch to use the torque of going from neutral into first gear to move the car forward. When I do this I don't use any gas at all, I just use the torque of going into first gear to propel my car forward. Is that considered riding my clutch? Should I stop doing that? I was just thinking about what "riding the clutch" actually means, and I have no idea really... |
If your car is running, you're using gas. Riding the clutch means the clutch is partially disengaged. This will prematurely wear out your flywheel and disc. Plus your leg will not be happy. Do you drive a car that has a fuel efficiency meter on it? |
So you just ease the clutch out a bit without touching the gas pedal? It'll technically wear the clutch, but how else can you move forward? |

i'm confused how else are you supposed to drive in bumper to bumper traffic? i mean, you could technically let the car in front of you keep going forward to the point where you can drive in 1st gear again but then either a) someone will squeeze into the spot you created or b) you'll brake and go back to clutch down in 1st within 3 seconds anyway edit: here's a helpful vid...lol i gotta admit i do some of things you're really not supposed to cus of premature wear |
