This question probably belongs to the auto chat group but don't want to start a new thread in case of being flamed. All I wanted to know is if a Honda dealership can transfer inventory from another dealer. I know some of the other manufacturers can do that, but wondering if honda can say like from Destination Honda to Richmond Honda. Thanks!

Yes cars can. However, I believe it's a deal made between the dealerships and nothing with Honda Canada. You might even have less buying power if you get a dealership to bring the car in from another dealership.

Okay thanks. Reason why I ask is because I ordered a car at a dealer but they aren't willing to budge on pricing and I just recently found out my friend knows someone that works at another dealer and might be able to get me a deal. Problem is I don't want to reorder again as it's gonna take 2-3 months.

wait.....2-3 months wait sounds more like a dealership is ordering in from the production line and yes in that case, the dealer may not budge on pricing. If the car is coming from dealership to dealership within metro vancouver, you should have your car in a couple days not months.

If you've already put in your order, you probably also gave a non-refundable deposit. Depending on the deal that you might get from the other dealer, it may not be worth the trouble.

Yeah, it was ordered from production line. It's currently on its way from factory to the dealership. My deposit is refundable so that's not a worry, I can always walk away from it. I'm gonna see if the dealer would give me accessories instead. I might just stay as is. If the dealer is able to transfer this car, I was gonna use it as a bargaining chip. But from what I'm assuming now, the dealer probably can't transfer it then. Oh wells, learned something for the future.

I'm moving back to Vancouver and haven't been able to sell my 40" TV that isn't a significant loss. I checked Canadapost and it seems like it's only about $50-60 to ship it.. I know it might end up breaking but I have all the original packaging and what not.

Can't really decide if $50-60 is worth the gamble of losing the entire TV or just sell it for cheap and "lose" the $300.

It should be fine being shipped in the original packaging, I mean that's how it got to the store in the first place. Just make sure you get insurance on it.

In regards to Cineplex D-Box, does it allow for adjustment of the intensity of the movement? Can it be turned off at the seat?

godwin 12-18-2016 01:35 PM

I dont' think so, it is also only the back few rows too.

To add to this, can't really comment on specifics, but when there is a D-Box seat that is not reserved, it will not move or anything. It will just be a normal seat. So if you happen to have booked D-Box, I'm sure you can ask them to "disable/turn off" the seat, while still having a valid ticket for that seat.

Thanks for the info.

My wife's sister told her that she had a bad time with dbox, so my wife was worried that she wouldn't like it. My friend bought tickets a while ago for Rogue One, so she was stuck. Fortunately, the intensity can be adjusted on the seat. She had it cranked 20 min into the movie, and loved it. I thought it was awesome, as well.

Just noticed that Lee's Chicken in PoCo is no longer called Lee's...it's called John's Chicken now

same owners...apparently they just wanted out of the franchise. Chicken is still just as good.

damn, i want some fried chicken now.

fliptuner 12-20-2016 10:18 AM

Noticed that a few weeks ago. Haven't been in yet but was hoping it was a case of them not wanting to pay for the name.

There's also a new H-Mart opening up by the HD, behind Costco.

6o4__boi 12-20-2016 10:27 AM

yeeeeee....i'm looking forward to that H-Mart opening up
can hit it up for my asian groceries after my Costco runs...no need to drive all the way to CC T&T for instant ramen :awwyeah:

murd0c 12-20-2016 11:31 AM

This is United States Postal Service tracking info. Can someone explain to me how the package left Irvine, CA to make it to Los Angeles, only to be shipped back to Irvine and then go out to LA again?

I find the initial bit of tracking is always a bit funky, as I'm pretty sure paperwork being done sometimes shows up as your package being scanned.

Irvine, CA to LA in 4, almost 5, days. Horse and carriage? lol. Good thing this is a present to myself.
