They're just more heavy duty and resistant to corrosion.

The Gf's jeep has some cheap terminals like these below. Super cheap. When I tried to unbolt the rusted nut, the whole thing just snapped.

MotoMaster Top Post Battery Terminal, OE Crim | Canadian Tire

I saw these nicely coated terminals, but they say Marine. Is there a difference?

MotoMaster Marine Battery Terminals, Epoxy Co | Canadian Tire

OR should I just get these brass ones?
MotoMaster Marine Battery Terminals, Brass | Canadian Tire

The metal crimp-on one is the worst, it's probably the most susceptible to oxidation and corrosion, like rust on top of the regular powdery acid corrosion stuff.

If your battery cables have already been previously chopped off and don't have an eyelet-style terminal to bolt onto the marine terminals, this one is probably better:

the brass version is $6.99 each, vs $3.99 of the lead style.

Both lead and brass are up there in the top in terms of conductivity, depending on your sources they will say one is better than the other, but there isn't much difference. I like using the brass ones because it's more solid in construction, and all late model cars use plated brass terminals from the factory anyway.

Oh yeah, if you get the red and black painted terminals, make sure you check the contact surfaces aren't painted over, because sometimes you get defective ones like that lol. Just clean it through with a terminal brush.

Bought something from Best Buy for boxing day and since it wasn't available in any stores they'd have to send it to me from the warehouse using Canada Post. Expected delivery is tomorrow, and I've been tracking the shipment and the last time I saw it, it was "In Transit" (like a few hours ago). Just checked it now and the tracking number doesn't even work. Anyone know why it doesn't work now?

MG1 12-29-2016 07:33 AM

Patience is the key.

It will arrive.

US Mail service, but probably similar to Canada Post's.

well there's your problem right there
:troll:

Lol usually takes a little while longer cus CP is on the fritz after big retail days. I ordered something from them either last BD or BF and it arrived a few days later than expected.

GS8 12-29-2016 09:46 AM

My Best Buy package was out for delivery at 7:47 and then they needed to 'verify recipient's address. Possible delay.' at 7:51

:derp:

I'll be patient. I didn't order much anyway. Would have really preferred shipping right to a Best Buy store but that option wasn't available.

:yuno:

Cwift 12-29-2016 03:05 PM

Welp, tracking is back up, with expected delivery today but it's still "in transit". Dunno if it's going to be delayed or if they lost my package lol

For those of you that have gone to the Grouse Mountain lights and Christmas thing, is it worth the money to go up?

racerman88 12-31-2016 08:29 AM

Price of gas is getting ridiculous up here again, I just saw regular at 1.35 litre and premium is 1.53.
It's only 1.03 per litre for premium in Blaine.

Anyone know of a decent bar in Langley to watch a Canucks game at?

Dragon-88 01-03-2017 09:34 AM

Anyone ever try these cheap chinese OBDII readers?

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free...f-d530c55e1796

I need something for diagnostics and just curious if I would run into any problems with these units?

I've used them before (not that specific one, but they're all the same - based on the ELM327). I have the BT one and also the corded USB one. I only use it to pull CEL codes and not much more than that though. I haven't had any issues with them and there's a ton of apps out there that support the ELM327.

6o4__boi 01-04-2017 08:07 AM

did they stop producing nintendo 3DS's or something?

it's OOS pretty much everywhere and only 3rd party sellers are selling it at retarded prize on Amazon.

was hoping to pick up a new 3ds/3dsxl over the holidays but haven't been able to spot one.

I've finally hit a new low point for myself :(

I parked at an impark garage on Broadway beside Original Joe's and wasn't aware that they closed at 10PM. I found that out at 10:18pm. I'm a dumb ass...

My question is if anyone knows if they just ticket all the cars in there when closing or tow them out all at once? I'm heading there tomorrow at 6am hopefully when they'll be open and am praying that my car will still be there.

Going on a long shot here, but has anyone ever done anything this stupid and able to give me some insight as to what to possibly expect? I know I'll have a ticket for sure which I'm happy to pay, I'd just hopefully like to get there and not find that my cars been towed. :(

I've done this before. Parked in an underground impark lot downtown and when I got back to my car, the gate was closed. Called them and they sent a guy over to open the gate for us. Didn't even get a ticket lol.

godwin 01-05-2017 12:42 AM

The question is what are you trying to use it for? Reset/ Diagnostic/ Reprogramming?

What kind of car are you trying to use it on.

These things are extremely basic, so depending on what you are trying to do you might not be able to get the info you need.

We cannot flag/report Craigslist ad anymore?
There used be a button to flag, spam, mis categorized etc etc... not there anymore. Just one button to hide it from your search results

I thought that only hides from my view, does that actually report?

fliptuner 01-05-2017 10:10 AM

The trashcan with the X, beside the title, hides it from view. "Prohibited" flags and hides
