You guys got any tips for racing at TBC?

Going to race tonight and looking for some tips on the track.

TIA

No brakes

I need some custom cushions made for a few bench seats

Basically I'd go to a place like the foam shop etc get my cushions cut then I will need them upholstered, so I need someone to do the upholstery, any recommendations

Keep foot on gas at all times. Brake when you need to but keep the gas pedal down to maintain revs.

Doesnt the motor cut out when you apply gas and brake at the same time?

punkwax 01-18-2017 02:07 PM

Don't know. I don't brake. LUL

Jump out of your cart mid-race and start running & stripping, yelling "I'm on fire" a la Ricky Bobby

post a pic of what your cushion might look like. I'm trying to picture what kind of sewing you need. I may be able to help.

I have a package coming from UPS and I received a call from them saying I need to email them a brokerage number which was given to me over the phone to broker@ups.com because my package needs customs clearance. Can anyone chime in on this? I've never had to deal with this before

Sounds like a potential scam, call UPS back at whatever number is listed on their website and see what they say.

JSALES 01-31-2017 01:01 PM

So I told UPS to email me the documents so I can print it off. I brought it to the CBSA office to get the documents approved then I brought the paperwork to the UPS warehouse so they could release my package.

I saved money because I didn't have to pay for UPS stupid brokerage fees because the CBSA didn't charge me anyways lol

Pretty interesting read about what hell week is all about and the process to become a US Navy Seal, lol always curious to see how long I'd last before I'd be ringing the "get me the fuck out of here" bell

When's the best time to buy boarding/skiing equipment, and where to shop?

Last set of mountain-outewear I have is about 5-6 years old.. need a bit of an upgrade (also doesn't fit anymore lols). Probably not a good time to buy right now since we're smack-dab in the middle of the season..

How warm / insulated do the things have to be so I can survive a mountain day at Whistler etc? Any recommended brands?

Re-use-it center on the way to Whistler. Temps and vacationers who purchase equipment sometimes sell them there before leaving.

It's not so much how much you wear but rather what you wear. No point in wearing a 5 layers if it gets wet and frozen.

A nice thick jacket and sweats under a waterproof jacket and pants with boots / toque and mitts is enough.

Recommend me a good vacuum for home (laminate floors and some rugs) use under $100.

I was using a $30 Stanley shop-vac for the last 5 years but the motor finally died on me.

MG1 02-05-2017 11:00 AM

I hope you were using a bag and a HEPA filter, otherwise you're just shooting some of what you sucked up back into the air. Shop vacs are not really designed to be used at home. As for 100 bucks, you're limited to vacs that do very little.

Just my two bits.
