Are Infinitis reliable? im looking at reviews and it doesn't seem like they have a reputation for being reliable at least compared with say Lexus, but i was hoping for some personal experiences by our members?

guess this might be thread worthy... but oh well

Yes, they are very reliable - from my experience:

2004 Nissan Maxima LE - reliable with regular maintenance

2004 Infiniti G35 - reliable with regular maintenance

2004 Infiniti FX45 - reliable with regular maintenance

2010 G37xS - super reliable

2013 G37x - super reliable

2012 FX35 - super reliable

2015 Q50s - super reliable

Maintenance is very fairly priced and most indy mechanics can work on these cars. They are generally very easy to diagnose and repair.

my mom was looking at getting a new QX70 or the Lexus RX she prefers the looks of the Infiniti, but i read that the Lexus is more reliable and safer so trying to get opinions

Ya I know right! Growing up I was more of a Honda/Acura kind of guy (we still have an RSX in the family) but I always loved the look and sound of Infiniti. I sort of got everyone in my family into an Infiniti car lol!

The QX70 you are referring to is the new name for the FX35. They are pretty similar unless some new major technology came out since. My sister and mom were rear ended in the 2012 FX35 and the damage to repair the vehicle was 15k. Thank goodness they came out with minimal injuries. I can't attest to other angles of collision but in this case, the car did its job in protecting the occupants. This happened last summer.

Lexus is without a doubt very reliable much like Infiniti. Japanese makes are just reliable in general and with the new designs of Lexus vehicles, I would not hesitate to buy one.

At this point, I would say it boils down to the driving experience, not safety or reliability. I've driven and been in a passenger of Lexus vehicles. The dang things are smooth and quiet, but lack emotion and character and I just couldn't replicate the drivers feel that I received from Infiniti. Mind you this is subjective.

The Infiniti felt raw, powerful, grunty, and filled with personality which made the overall driving experience fun - for me. And I always felt they looked more aggressive and elegant too. But lately Lexus vehicles have been living up to this statement.

Recommendations on a decent humidifier? Looking to spend under $50 preferably. It's for a small room so I don't need anything fancy, prefer not to have one that smells like anything (the vicks ones you can put some of the vapo stuff in it iirc)

TIA

You can always just get a vicks and not put the scent pack in it

Anybody have a recommendation for a reliable instant read digital meat thermometer that won't die on me quickly?

the vicks one (at least the one i had) cost $2x.00 at superstore and did not have any scent or anything, just add water.

tbh i'm a little surprised you need it in our climate. we do not have dry air. our kids needed some moisture in the air in the summer, we just left a bowl of water out and seemed to do the trick so we gave the vicks away. when it's on it has a little motor sound where as a bowl of water is silent

i found that buying waterproof ones tend to last longer than your average everyday digital meat thermometer so i'd look into those

Amazon probably has a variety
