Anyone have a insurance adviser they could recommend? Looking at switching over from our scotia mortgage insurance to life insurance.

Converts a 3 prong plug to a 2 prong one. No time for online delivery, need to be from a brick and mortar store tomorrow. Any electronic stores might have?

Maybe find a cheap power bar that will do it? Might be your best option for quick local source.. not 100% certain but think I've seen at Walmart in the past.

murd0c 04-05-2017 07:39 PM

try the source or maybe even home depot

jing 04-05-2017 08:29 PM

Just get a pair of pliers and rip out the bottom prong

Klondike 04-05-2017 11:22 PM

Find one at the dollar store, rip out the bottom prong.

Our old bathroom had an old school razor outlet, so we bought a 1 outlet to 3 from the dollar store and modified it so it would fit in the old school outlet.

When we renovated the bathroom, we replaced it with a modern GFCI.

Canned Dolmades (Grapevine leaves stuffed with rice and ground beef).

How are they compared to the Dolmades that you get in the restaurant?

Is there a recommended brand?

If I want to order a bunch, what's the best way? Restaurants I've called charge menu price for the number of platters it takes for the quantity I want.

EDIT: I went to the local Greek market and picked up a can of Krinos Papa John. 4 bucks for 400g/12 pieces. For a canned product, it's pretty good. There's no ground beef, but I'd rather brown my own than fatty canned cow. It's kept in olive oil, so i placed a piece on toast to let it soak into the bread. Straight from the can is decent. It's even better when it's warm.

fliptuner 04-10-2017 03:19 PM

Does anyone know if Bilstein struts need to be unlocked before assembling them? The ones I just got weren't banded for shipping and they seem really short compared to the springs. They're 4600s if that matters.

Ground wires exist for a reason, disabling them is like making an extension cord that's male at both ends.

It seems like I'm searching for a unicorn here, can anyone help me out?

Looking for a bluetooth keyboard that is full sized, non-chiclet keys, and has a numpad. I would prefer to not deal with USB dongles, hence the bluetooth.

I have one that I've had for close to 10 years.

Not aware of anything new that's similar.

Edit: Actually, I have this one (newer version) - https://www.amazon.ca/Logitech-Cordl.../dp/B0011FQUQG

Quick question about this intersection:
https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Rup...377281!6m1!1e1

When there's 1 car each at opposing stop sign on Vanness and its green on Rupert, its standard "stop intersection" procedure where first person to arrive gets to go first unless its safe to do so for other driver. Is this correct?

What if its red on Rupert? Is it still the standard stop sign intersection procedure where its alternating cars going?

I've been going in this intersection lots lately and rules don't seem to apply when its red on rupert...

At regular 2-way stop signs, it's not whoever arrives first - it's whoever (I'm paraphrasing here) does the less dangerous manoever. Essentially anyone turning left from a 2-way stop sign has the last right of way.

Unfortunately not many people follow this so you just gotta judge and be careful.

Anyone selling Cineplex movie tickets? I only need a few for a raffle I'm hosting.

why would it be alternating cars going? it's not a 4-way intersection... like inv4zn said, anyone turning left has the last right of way

My desktop computer died on me, any recommendations where to bring it to retrieve the data from my hard drive?

xxxrsxxx 04-14-2017 02:03 PM

Take out the hard drive and put it in an external enclosure.
You can then access it yourself.

Anyone happen to notice a rather large accident at Kensington and Canada way in Burnaby yesterday around 5pm? Mustve been 10+ cop cars + undercover cars/suv's and a car that was completely crushed from driving into a pole. The weird part is that for the amount of damage to the car it seems odd that he could've been going that fast in such a short distance unless he was going well over 100kmph+ on such a busy road in rush hour traffic to have the front of the bumper crushed to the point it was at. Drove past and 1 guy was sitting on the ground with blood running down his face while the passenger laid flat on the ground completely covered in blood and wasn't moving. Cops were acting like they didn't even care about trying to at least comfort the guys...unless the one guy was laid out flat on the ground dead....

On my dash cam when driving past you can see both guys but since it was raining its not the best visibility :(

I cant find anything about it...anyone know what happened?

What strikes me is that when I first got there I had waited a while before finally being able to drive past and there were no ambulances or fire trucks there even though they are literally behind Burnabys #1 fire hall...which they could've walked or ran to within a minute.

Drove past it again around midnight and cops were still there taking photographs.

Take down?

Wasnt a single thing about it that I could find on the news or online about it.

the last thing i'd wanna do is comfort a total fucking moron for pulling that shit in such a busy setting to begin with

act like an idiot, get treated like one.

without picture of the actual damage, i can only take your word on it. But if it's mangled that bad, chances are, he's one of those idiots who rip through Canada Way like they're trying to win Darwin awards.
