News said it was a Surrey woman in her 30s

She also allegedly hit another flagger and then proceeded to allegedly assault two kids.

does anyone know of a place in the lower mainland preferably in the Tri-Cities that does baby car-seat clinics?

Services like double checking the base installation and giving out pointers and things like that.

murd0c 07-04-2017 07:43 AM

ask the place where you bought the car seat?

Call ICBC. Of all people, they should know. If not, ask them to look into sponsoring one at a community centre or Children's Hospital. It would be good PR for them. Promote safety, have some fun, hold clinics on other topics........ free cake! Okay, time for my meds. Gulolol.

6o4__boi 07-04-2017 08:08 AM

hmmm didn't think of icbc lol

bought the set from Costco

i know BCAA does clinics but they're actually like full on info sessions that are for 2+ hours that you gotta schedule in advance or are only offered on certain dates, i'm thinking of those quick, drop-in clinics that'll inspect the installation and have you out of there in 15-30mins tops

^ check on vpd twitter. They offer it sometimes as promo for safety.

Honestly watch some YouTube videos and just make sure the seat doesn't move within the allowance in the booklet. I think it's 1-2" tolerance.

Do you have an infant car seat? Or is it convertible car seat?

6o4__boi 07-04-2017 12:21 PM

it's an infant car seat

will likely check out BCAA...looks like they do offer a short one-on-one demo by appointment at certain times of the month

i think local fire halls periodically show how to do install seats
quick google at least tells me richmond fire halls has such a program

Those are relatively easy to install. Wait till you get a convertible car seat. I had trouble with the britax that I got.

Basically you either use the the anchor connectors if your car permits. Or the old fashion way and use the seatbelt across.

Personally I've used both but prefer the seatbelt one as it feels tighter. With the newer car seats I notice that the angle of the seats makes it hard to make it the right angle position for the baby. You may need to buy a pad underneath or just go as far as you can because babies grow pretty quick and you'll end up changing it sooner than you think
