How do people with import cars from Japan pass their out of province vehicle inspection? Like getting headlights that are DOT approved? For example. Nissan S15, R33 etc..

What I'd be curious to know is what the parts cost is for the clutch and rear main on that car. $20k USD sounds like a lot but I'm guessing a large amount of that would be for labour at a Lambo dealer. It sounds like the car was pretty rough but even if the parts were half of that cost they basically got the car for half price.

Dr. Brad McDougall

Dr. Brad McDougall | Vancouver Block Optometrists & Ottico

He uses the most current technology and explains everything thoroughly.

Do you know how much he charges for an exam? I need to get one done and saw they do contact fittings. If it's the same as everywhere else I might try this place. Has to be better than the last one I went to lol.

Sorry, I'm not sure since they bill insurance, directly.

Is it just me, or there is something odd about this?

Heading to McCleery Golf Course from 41st on MacDonald St.
I went through 3 VPD roadblocks.. asking where I'm going.
one at 41st, one at 49th, one at Marine Dr.

Talk about waste of resources, these VPDs are here all day 7 days a week, to block non-local traffic from entering.
AFAIK, there are total 7 roadblocks in the whole SW neighborhood. VPD officers, paid to stand there, to deny non-local traffics....
This has been going on since June and till end of Aug, all because of SW Marine Dr closure. They did this last year as well, from June to Sept, and because construction wasn't finished, they have to do it again this year.

when do you ever see so many police roadblocks because of road construction?

I would hope that the fines make it worth the expense.

yray 07-31-2017 10:39 AM

Have you drove the curvy part of Marine when its empty :megusta:

They don't give out tickets, they just tell drivers to turn around if they don't live in that area

Has anyone been to Sunshine Coast while we've had the smoke over here in Vancouver?

My wife and I were planning on going next week but we're not sure if it'll be the same here as it is over there.

Another story of a GI coming over and knocking up the local women, then disappearing ("I promise to return"). The poor mother. She's the one who endured the hardships.

Anyone know of a free and easy to use website where I can input dimensions of a floor plan and plunk furniture and other stuff on there?

I just got the floor plans plus approx measurements for my presale and I'm looking into furniture pieces now.

Thanks

One of my friends has 3 weeks to find a new place.

Can anyone here suggest a rental property that isn't dirty and sketch?

He's looking at Vancouver / Burnaby / New West / Coquitlam / Port Moody. He wants to be close to the Skytrain. He's leaning more toward Coquitlam / Pomo

His budget is $1200 / month. He's overwhelmed by the amount of listings and conflicting reviews.

Thanks

For parking-meter tickets only, every driver in the city is entitled to one “courtesy cancellation.” If you call 604-257-8732, and ask nicely, the city will usually waive your fine. Each licence plate gets only one free pass over the life of the vehicle.

You can try but as far as I was aware, the city cancelled that program. I recall it happened after someone from the media complained about all the job cuts happening within the city this one year and then pointed out all the money that the city was losing by cancelling tickets for people.
