Why did Costco stop selling the Kirkland whole bean coffee in the black resealable bags? Used to be about 4 types and a bean grinding station right next to the display. Now Kirkland has a couple “roasted by Starbucks" red and green varieties instead.

fliptuner 10-25-2017 04:25 PM

I don't know about Kirkland but I liked the Kona coffee beans in the 1 pound bag

'Love doesn't have a colour': Why a black activist befriended a white supremacist | CTV News

A black activist who rescued a white supremacist from a crowd of anti-Nazi protesters says he did it to show love in the face of so much hate
Oddly enough, came across this story the day after seeing Daryl Davis on the most recent episode of Bill Maher.
Very interesting guy.

Just want to spread awareness on Impark and their cunty ways. Who tickets a single car three times in one day??? Two tickets 13 minutes apart seriously?

For the record i have no idea who the guy that took my ticket the first time is :lawl:

underscore 10-26-2017 08:35 AM

Impark are scum, never pay their tickets.

Badhobz 10-26-2017 08:43 AM

i never pay any private parking lot tickets. Fuck'em i just change my plate occasionally to throw them off.

smoothie. 10-26-2017 09:29 AM

ok but you could just pay for parking...?

Badhobz 10-26-2017 09:44 AM

right.... so if you hate them so much why park at their lot. If you hate them park on the streets or free parking spot. Seems to be you just want to take advantage of them and when caught refuse to take any responsibility.

Obsideon 10-26-2017 02:11 PM

I'm not sure what the process is because I've heard some people continually getting tickets even when they have over 3 previously unpaid tickets.
I noticed in the Impark lot behind my work they are towing much more frequently than before, apparently even for 1 unpaid ticket.

A couple times the tow truck driver would hitch up the car then if any of my staff are in the back, he would ask if any customers want their car back for a cash fee. So I would get someone to go from table to table asking "Anyone park a (colour) (model) car in the back?"
Dirty dirty!

Some places you have no choice. At the hospital here the parkade is run by them and it's your only option. They have some spots that are reserved til 9am, which is fine, but I parked in one less than 5 minutes before 9 (when all the regular spots were full, and nearly all of the reserved spots are empty), paid for parking, and got a ticket for being in a reserved spot. Another one of their lots I was in for under a minute at 2am while picking up a friend from a club, there wasn't even a ticket on my window so I just got one in the mail months later with a bunch of extra fees that came to something like $50. Most people would use their discretion with something like that, but not Impark.

Bouncing Bettys 10-26-2017 02:41 PM

Any company that operates pay parking at hospitals can go fuck themselves. Which reminds me, I need to gather up a shitload of change for Saturday so I can take my son into Children's for his appointment. None of the businesses surrounding the Hospital seem to make change for more than $5 - $10 (probably because so many others are doing the same thing) so I better think ahead and make change out here or give myself lots of time to hit multiple places there. Or how much time should I buy, because I don't want to be distracted with time when I should be giving my full attention to hospital staff/doctors. Or maybe I can get parking vouchers, or be reimburst later, or hope that someone has left a ticket with leftover time - a practice which Impark has put an end to at the Abbotsford hospital . Why I have to concern myself with that instead of with my son is why I say fuck you.

punkwax 10-26-2017 03:26 PM

You don't have a credit card?

Its not Impark choosing to make people pay. It's gov't and Impark happened to win the contract. I park at various hospitals all the time for work, they aren't all Impark.

Delta, for example, is a city who doesn't make people pay to park at hospitals.

Not saying it's right, and I'm not defending parking companies. I've been pissed off topping up my parking while in hospitals for personal/family reasons myself. I'm just explaining that it's not Impark who just decided one day they'd charge everyone to park at hospitals.

PS - hope the boys ok.

Having pay parking is probably the best way to discourage other's from parking at the lots for free all day. Yes spending $$$ sucks, but I think most people would rather pay to spend more time with their loved ones than to walk blocks to the hospital or be stuck circling the lots to look for parking.

corollagtSr5 10-26-2017 04:35 PM

Lol. If your parking at private parking lot and see someone else with a ticket on their windshield you could take that ticket and put it on your windshield to avoid further tickets lol.

Depending on how long your going to be at the hospital, you might be better off using car2go and being able to park near the hospital in the residential area.

Apparantly thats not the case as you can see clearly in my video the impark worker just replaces it with a new one whenever they want :lawl:
I don't understand why she came back to my car 13 minutes after she just wrote a ticket. Im thinking its to fill her daily quota or something like that.

For those in electronics and electrical..

I accidentally cut into the insulated brown wire of a C13/C14 cable. Some of the wires inside are cut completely. Is it safe to simply strip the insulation from both ends, splice them together, and heatshrink it?

MG1 10-27-2017 08:34 PM

There are tonnes of websites that show you how to repair broken cords. It's easy to do, but do it with care.

If the cable is long enough, you can also use connectors/plugs. You can get ends where the wires can be soldered/attached properly. Much cleaner and safer. Make sure it is rated properly.

underscore 10-27-2017 08:41 PM

You'd have to solder it, and be very careful not to have any stray strands poking through the heat shrink. I'd replace the cable if at all possible.

Instead of buying this cargo liner a few years ago. I bought ones that doesn't have a lip that goes up the side a bit. I am thinking of putting a piece of automotive fabric over and have it wrap up but am apprehensive about using tape on the interior plastic. Google has let me down in a search. Any suggestions or precautions? Will there be a sticky residue left? hot sun melt it?

AzNightmare 10-28-2017 11:29 AM

Where can I buy decent HDMI cables locally at a good price?
Need them to be longer than 6 ft, (around 8ft would be perfect).

I would buy from monoprice, but I need them within a week and I'm not sure if monoprice can ship that fast.
