OHHHHH SHIT I FORGOT TO POST MY PSA:

Disneyland released special prices today for Canadian residents.
You can buy starting Nov 1-Feb 28 2018 and expiry on bought tickets is 13 days after first use or on January 19, 2019.

3 day tix are: $236.25 (vs $244 regular guest)
4 day: $251.25 (vs $335)
5 day: $262.50 (vs $350)
^ prices are USD & for park hopper including magic morning access. 1 park per day tix are cheaper. Have to show proof of residency.

If you have a family/gf/wife/group of friends, this is the way to go.
Halloween is amazing there and Christmas season starts Nov 10 usually with fireworks and parades.
It's normal Disneyland from Nov 1-Nov 9. No fireworks/parades

They dont know anything. They have the most moronic writers on their staff and most stupid articles Ive ever read in my life. I hate them lol. We dont need repeated opinion pieces on people using umbrellas in the snow. Jesus Christ, they make my blood boil.

Lol sorry my fault

Anyone know where you can play Battle Gear 4 and get a key?

Espot is always sold out of keys.

Just a friendly reminder to disconnect your hoses and any accessories from the hose bibbs at home. I forgot to disconnect my favourite long reach and fairly expensive garden sprayer on the day it reached -3 and it burst. I had the water turned on and it froze. My bad. I should have paid more attention to the weather reports. Had to order another one. :okay:

Lightweight Spray Wand - Lee Valley Tools

I found these at the Lowes in Bellingham. Way better than the plain foam faucet covers. It's the same as the standard styrofoam covers, but has a hard shell on the outside.

I also got a couple of these for the trailers.

:troll:

yea most likely.

Honestly i side with Boeing, a seemingly well ran corp than fucking bombardier, a bloated nationally propped up company who is using our tax dollars to prop up a poor business plan.

MG1 11-08-2017 07:48 AM

Yeah, I'm not impressed by Bombardier at all.

Boeing, on the other hand, knows Canada is a great source for talent as well as material supplies. A good friend of mine supplies Boeing with custom fabricated parts. Boeing is huge and employs tonnes of people from both sides of the border. I'm sure they have issues like most businesses, but I have more faith in them than some struggling, blood sucking........ nuff said.

Good on whatshertits for doing her best to represent her province, but jeebuz, don't go telling Burnaby they have no right in delaying permits. They have every right to do so. As in, we live here. Easy for you to say shit, but we have a beautiful province here and most of us would like to keep it that way. Just because your province has a few National Parks here and there. Why don't we run a pipeline through your fucking backyard?

Question for those who take the ferry. I have to go to Gibson on Tuesday with my girls vball team. I was told from a friend that I could buy a "ferry cash card" that will give me a discount. Does this card exist and can I use it to pay for all of the girls? There are 12 girls and us the 2 coaches.
We are going to walk on to the ferry.

Yes, you need to signup for an experience card. You can also get this done at the Ferry Terminal. The Experience Card offers a discount on vehicles and passengers on the smaller routes, not the larger ones like going to Vancouver Island. I'd totally recommend purchasing one. There is a minimum amount you have to load onto the card $115, but you will surpass that so thats no big deal. Dont go over what you need because the credit stays on the experience card.

Quote:

Speaking with CKNW’s Steele & Drex on Wednesday, Attorney General David Eby said the government projected an $11 million deficit for ICBC.

But he said that once he had his hands on the paperwork, he realized the figure was closer to $1 billion.

But he also pointed a finger at the former BC Liberal government, who he accused of raiding ICBC to balance the provincial budget.

“[ICBC] used to have a lot of money in investments, they have to hold on to a certain amount of capital to be able to pay out when people make claims and invest that money,” he said.

“But the previous government had taken $1.1 billion out of that fund over the previous six years, and so that money wasn’t earning investment income.”
Soo. Uh, discuss?

how long does a seasonal 8 wheel swap usually take at Costco? my wife's got an appointment tmr at 230 but with the baby in tow, she doesn't want to stay there for longer than an hour. Sets already mounted so it's just a straight swap of all seasons to winters.

if it's longer than that I'll probably have to take my chances and just show up first thing Saturday morning. But seeing as there's appointment now, if we aren't able to get it done tmr afternoon, is it still first come first serve on Saturday morning or will I be bumped by those with appointments?

MG1 11-17-2017 03:05 AM

Here's my experience from almost two weeks ago. Costco Willingdon. They open at 5:00 am. I have five vehicles, but only need to change tires on three of them. I did one myself, because it's easy and I have the space and the tools. Costco is great because they balance the tires. Something I can't do. Anyway, I show up at 4:20 thinking, yeah, I'll be first in line. Nope. Ended up being number 12. Guess what? They only take the first 8 people. Anyone after that is for an appointment. Appointment is like 4 weeks down the line, lol. I think it's worse now. Anyway, I leave and go to the Brighton Avenue location that is not that far away. Their tire shop opens at 9:00ish. As I was about to leave, I see this employee heading into the warehouse. Asked the person when they'll take customers for line up. 6:00 am someone will be around to take names. I ended up being second in line. Was told to come back at 9:00. For my second vehicle, I left the house at 2:45 am for Costco Willingdon. I was number five, lol. They open at 5:00, but opened early, so I got my name in, took off to Grand Villa Casino to launder some money, have free coffee, etc. When I got back, I still had to wait for over an hour.

Oh, appointments? Last year in the spring, I had an appointment for 2:30 pm. I didn't get out until 5:00 pm. Good thing I'm retired with nothing better to do. I think that was not a normal occurrence, but appointments mean nothing. Tire changeovers with tires on rims shouldn't take more than an hour, but shit happens. I think that day one or more of their workers called in sick and one machine was down.

Anyone experienced in stove/range repairs?

The elements on our stove suddenly stopped heating up. The clock still works, and the oven still works.

I did some research, and it seems like I'd either have to check for any blown fuses, or replace the infinite switch. However, I couldn't find any fuses and it seems like there is an infinite switch for each element (I'd imagine it's rare for all of them to go out at the same time). Is there some sort of master switch that I'm overlooking?
