That feel when you see someone you haven't seen since high school and they now look old as fuck. Didn't even recognize him because he looks like he's 55, not 33. What ... the ... fuck ...

Hahahaha............... time is not kind to a lot of people - especially those who drink heavily, smoke, and do drugs.

I have high school friends who I haven't seen in 50 years........ some are no longer around. That's when you feel fortunate. RS keeps me young.

Happy New Year RS! It was a fun 2017 but looking forward to 2018.

First thing I did after getting sober and friends left was to spend an hour cleaning up and washing dishes...

This is what I was doing this morning........... prepping for making some New Years food.

Futomaki, inarisushi, kombumaki, nishime, sashimi, sekihan, kuromame, etc. Not as elaborate as when my wife used to be around to help out. Used to take us three days to make stuff from scratch, including mochi........ now it's stuff I buy from Fujiya.

Also stuff from my Polynesian/Hawaiian background. I'll try to upload more images, but so busy right now, lol.

Spoiler!

It's very time consuming........ I can't believe I used to make the tamago in a round pan, because the square ones were expensive and very hard to get decades ago. I look at the ones that are sold frozen and ready made. So many burnt layers, lol. Mine are solid colour all the way through (well mostly). Nice yellow colour from Born 3 eggs, ftw! Years and years of practice and multiple fails, lol. Notice the square pan has no handle? Lost it a couple of years ago. Now have to make one on a wood lathe.

I kind of screwed up. I forgot to soak the sushi rice overnight with strips of dashi kombu on top. The rice is just going to be like any other rice you find in your run of the mill restaurant sushi. Oh well. Mother-in-law is providing kombu kazunoko (herring roe on kelp) - YES! Sister-in-law not making chawan mushi this year - so sad.

Spoiler!

Don't care about presentation score............ not doing it to visually impress. Taste is priority when it comes to family gatherings.

Just giving a run down of what Katt is saying. I'm guessing this is "known" lore in Hollywood behind closed doors.

Chappelle was known as "pilot boy" for putting out so many pilots that corporate passed over. Once he finally blew up / made them(CC) $500M corporate tried to come back and change the terms of how Chappelle would be paid. What's interesting and I've never heard before is Katt basically gives a run down of the alleged meeting where they told Chappelle their plan.

When he reacted with a "wtf" like most of us would with someone trying to take all the revenue from something we created, they told him they would invalidate him/smear him in the public eye and make him look like a junky crackhead.

So Dave said fuck all of you and hopped on a plane to Africa and they lost all the revenue they would have got from another season. The stoic and internal ethics minded power play if I'm commenting myself. Also having worked on $10 Billion+ for corporate I don't doubt this is true for a second.

It's amazing what people can say/do behind closed doors because to fully make the public care or even understand what they're doing is a mountain of a task. When I had my personal exit from corporate after working on hush hush stuff most people in my personal life treated me like a crazy person. To the point where I stopped telling people/trying to relate what happened.

It's telling how intelligent Dave is that he knew to just leave rather than try to take on an industry by himself. With the idea this stuff would eventually come to the light of day and the public would learn the truth slowly.

Shedding some possible light onto why Dave Chappelle peaced it out of Hollywood

Was driving by Joyce Skytrain station the other day and noticed the old pickup/dropoff area is no longer under construction. I haven't had time to scope out the area, but did they relocate a pickup/dropoff area or did they remove it?

Richmond owner of Bond-style car files lawsuit over $135,000 repair bill

Does everyone remember the woman who crashed her Aston Martin that only had basic insurance? She's filing a law suit against the dealer and the body shop for pain and suffering and obviously with that, there's a counter suit to go with that.

I saw this too last week, what a complete waste of space, a massive sidewalk to replace those parking spots, waste of time.

Richmond ride-hailing app

...Speaks for itself.

If it's a basic phone app and only picks up Asian people. Good way to make a respected company name for yourself! If the fines are 1150$ each I don't see why they don't have people ordering car after car after car at different locations and every time one shows up and takes them for a ride just hand them a lovely fine.

I'm happy with Uber as I've used it in the past in different countries but the only down side I see with it is the potential creeps who can sign up and pick up drunk women on Granville st on weekends. Pick up a good looking girl, find out where they live, stalk them a bit. Look up their names and try to add them to Facebook, Instagram and other forms of social media that they can creep them on.

If you’re that creepy you probably don’t need to drive for Uber to stalk someone.

If you're worried about creeps then Uber is gonna give you problems well before a driver picks you up. The company is pretty shady.

I'm not worried if a person wants to stalk me. They'll be pretty bored while doing it once theyvsee that I love a boring life lol. I'm more worried about vulnerable women who are half passed out on the ride.

Add a little edit here. I rarely drink so I'm usually the free uber for my friends lol. Those rare times I do drink I'll only have a few
