Any one have a person or know someone that does window screens?

Feel free to post or PM me.

Thanks!

MG1 04-29-2018 07:24 PM

Me two. I have one screen that is shredded and one window that, for some strange reason, is missing a screen. I knew a guy who made them in South Langley, but I don’t live in the Valley anymore.

Oddly enough, replacing them is pretty straight forward from the videos I've seen on YouTube.

You really just need the tool and the screen (provided your frames are in working order).

I know how handy you are so it should be easy for you!

I, however, do not have any screens and so I costed the materials and it's about the same as getting them professionally done.

3 oz. Pure Silver Coin - 125th Anniversary of the Stanley Cup® - Mintage: 5,000 (2017)

Like W - T - F ?????

What's a coin, then............ I swear, the mint is out of control. I'm no numismatist, but I would fold up tent and just give up. There's a new coin released like every freeking week.

Stamps are no better. As a long time philatelist, I'm finding it very hard to keep up. Every release has different versions of the design. Coil stamps, inscription sets, uncut press sheets, souvenir sheets, joint releases with other countries, booklets, first day covers, commemorative envelopes, post cards, etc. Thank god they stopped making plate proofs and essays.

Following CRS screen post.... I need them too!

So I want to start eating Kimchi for the gut health benefits of eating fermented foods..lately I’ve been better but for quite some time I’ve had bad heart burn and indigestion

I find all foods are different and spices etc. but do those who eat kimchi fairly regularly find that the chili in it is the type that can cause heart burn?

Ive never had a problem with kimchi but ive been eating it since I was like 14 so maybe Im just used to it?

Maybe try sauerkraut and other pickled foods if the chili is concerning? Or buy a small package and see how it works for you.
If you dont have a problem with dairy, yogurt and kefir are great options.
Kombucha is also a good option if you can learn to love the taste. When i first started drinking it, it tasted like feet lol but i love them all now

I make my own.

All you need to make this stuff is at Fujiya.

It's time consuming to get it right, but once you get the hang of it, it's wAnderful. People have passed down the nuka from generation to generation. I made mine from scratch by following a recipe I found on the web years ago that no longer exists. Anyway..............

OR.......... you can skip all of that and just buy ones that are already made at Fujiya. The lady who makes the stuff told me she started a batch a week ago. The only issue with that is, it's not always there. It usually sells out in a day or two and it's only pickled locally grown Japanese cucumbers.

BTW, there's nothing in this world like pickled watermelon rinds (hard skin removed with a hint of red part showing). So, so good. I hate watermelon itself, but the pickled rind is like heaven.

I stumbled across this stuff at the White Rock farmers market last summer: https://www.route18shrubclub.com/ There’s a “where to buy” page on their site that seems to have grown quite a bit since the last time I looked.

I’ve had the peach turmeric in my fridge ever since. Any time I feel heartburn might be coming on I take a swig. Haven’t bought Tums in a year or so now and I used to buy the 4 packs from Costco. BrokeBack

Where did you get the kimchi?

Rotten kimchi is nasty

Hondaracer 05-03-2018 08:44 AM

I haven’t purchased any yet but the Costco one seems like it’s decent

Great68 05-03-2018 09:15 AM

These guys make the best Kimchi I've ever eaten, the smoked kimchi is awesome:

http://zedsquaredfood.wixsite.com/ze...od/our-product

Fucking expensive though at 8 bucks a jar. Made in the Cowichan Valley though.

I have a tub of the costco stuff in the fridge right now. I find spicy kimchi doesn't give me heartburn like spicy mexican does (IE i tend to overdo the spice when I make homemade fajitas/tacos etc, at least that's what my wife says)

Hondaracer 05-03-2018 12:23 PM

My old building was predominately Korean. When it came to kimchi season people would have literal wagons full of shit taking up the elevators lol. Seems like quite the undertaking

yray 05-03-2018 01:17 PM

kims mart 2l kimchi

Also, you gotta open the jar to smell it. Sour kimchi will fuck you right up.

Literally a nightmare.

Also, be careful where you park your car, specifically next to old beaters. My friend worked at the night market, he parked next to a beater that exploded, and the car next to that caught on fire and exploded, and his car caught on fire and exploded.

When I was in my late teens/early twenties, me and my buddies used to go to the Night Market all the time. We would eat until we were completely stuffed for less than $25. I went last year, and I don't remember the food being so expensive and the portions so small. I think I spent around $40 and I wasn't even full? Might as well have gone to a real sit-down restaurant for that price IMO. It seems like the caterers are moving towards more of a "food truck" style, aka more expensive food and smaller portions..... won't be going this year lol.
