Good place to buy fans? Apartment is super stuffy since my Honeywell fan exploded sparks and I stopped using it. Looking for a tall standing fan thats also powerful if you guys have any recommendations... Probably looking at getting a couple :)

^Costco has large tower-fans for ~$50, and they seemed pretty good.

I bought a Dyson tower fan recently, and it's pretty money (in both senses of the word).

I would recommend a couple window-installed fans to move that stuffy air out of the apartment instead of just circulating it around. Install them on the hottest side of your place, set them to blow the air out, and open a window on the opposite side to get some nice flow going. This, along with keeping the blinds closed, helped to keep our place a few degrees cooler than outside.

Then, we got an air conditioner when we could afford one, and it is heaven.

:stfu: lol

Anyways ended up getting an 18" NOMA pedestal for $60 at Canadian Tire. Just put the thing together and it's solid, windflow is nice and strong too :) just annoyed that they used such a tiny screw and washer to hold the grates together.... I already lost the first set somewhere on my floor and had to use the spare set lol. It's like a set for ants.... I had to use a tweezer to tighten it together lol.

I place squirrel fan near top of ceiling and duct it out the window. Its loud as hell but it power sucks the hot air out fast and you can feel the cold air rushing in from the windows.

My cousin is marrying her American fiance at the Peace Arch Provincial Park this weekend. To get there, will we have go go through border line-up or is there some side route that could bypass it? What would the travel time roughly be from 8th Ave on this May Long if we do have to wait in the line before pulling off?

If I remember correctly, there's a right turn before the duty free (on the Canadian side) that takes you to a parking lot for the park. (Google Maps says it's Beach Rd)

MG1 05-15-2018 12:16 AM

Yup, there used to be two parking lots way back when I was a wee lad. Played in a marching band that performed each year at the "Hands Across the Border" celebration.

Any of you guys notice the millions of crows that usually hang out at Still Creek are gone? I drive by there every night on my way home from the casino. I'm not talking a few hundred missing, but all of them. Not a single one of them are around. What the hell would cause this? Poison? Do they know something we don't? Like a natural disaster coming this way........... this is the opposite of Alfred Hitchcock's movie.

It all started when they build the low rise Condo's on the North Side of Lougheed to the East of Brentwood Mall. That used to be their home. Then they migrated over to Still Creek area, but this year I haven't seen them around the BCIT area at all. Its been pretty weird.

So what happened to Trump thread?

nismodrifter 05-16-2018 11:52 PM

Im quite surprised by how many dicks drive the shit out of their straight piped cars at fucking 1:00am. Is it absolutely necessary to fuck up peoples sleep? Back in the day even ricers used to have some etiquette.

A goose had hatched 6 eggs by my apartment, today a crow was able to throw one down a few stories and was furiously pecking at it... Im guessing this wasnt his first time and may have learned from an eagle or something... but it was probably going to peck it to death and try eating it.
Me and some neighbours took action and escorted (crossing Denman street) the flock to a different courtyard.
When it initially circled our my building, the this one crow kept stalking it and coming in for shots.
I was thinking isnt their french fries for that bastard to eat somewhere... ridiculous.

Shots fired in front of my house. Thank god the RCMP have great aim. While running down the street, they took out a coyote.

That’s about as exciting as it gets around here, lol.

Quite the little conundrum we have here

https://windsor.ctvnews.ca/human-rig...oman-1.3925911

A Windsor business specializing in body hair removal is facing a Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario complaint after the alleged denial of service to a transgender woman.

The complainant seeks compensation in the amount of $50,000 for “immense harm to my dignity,” according to the complaint filed through the tribunal.

The complainant indicates in the application that she contacted Mad Wax in Windsor in March to inquire about getting her legs waxed. She says she also asked whether Transgender women were welcome for waxing services. After a conversation with the employee, she was told the manager would follow up.

When the manager, Jason Carruthers returned her call, the complainant alleges he advised that Mad Wax does not provide waxing services to men and that his ‘waxer’ is a Muslim woman who is not comfortable waxing male parts. Carruthers also indicated no other staffwere available to perform the request.

Advice on buying a portable canopy/gazebo? Things to look for? Brands to stay away from?

So, has anyone been to Richmond Nightmareket yet? If so, how great, or not, was it?

What if you live in a small town and that's the only place that does that service?
