RIP, Ken Kasuya aka Kato, of the BC Lions. I knew his family well. I didn't keep in touch and just now watching the game, I find out he passed away in the off season. His family has gone through so much tragedy. Now he's gone. Namo Amida Butsu.

One of the very few good guys................

How can anyone in their right mind call Vancouver a no fun city? So much stuff happening today. You’ve got to be a crackhead potsticker to even say that. I guess people who want to drink and go into a fucking coma from overdose are the ones saying that. It ain’t fun until I find myself puking into a toilet and forgetting about the last 12 hours of my life. Like that Irish Rovers song, “Wasn’t That a Party!”

I absolutely (pun intended) luv my Dyson Absolute V11 cordless vacuum. I've never vacuumed so much in my life. I love the digital display that shows me the amount of charge I have left and what mode (Eco through power boost) I'm in. Charge status, etc. The push to shoot the shit into the garbage is so slick. Hepa filter, too. Lots of accessories and the cord free is so cot dam handy. I can do stairs in a snap. It set me back just over one K, but it's worth it's weight in latinum. Ferengi would coin this a best buy when you figure it was purchased using a Triangle World Elite Mastercard........... 4% back, plus no interest 24 month equal payment plan. The thing is so easy to manoeuvre and the docking/charging station is the cat's meow. Also, when I'm vacuuming around the living room and I accidentally suck up something that looked important, the clear canister is way too cool. Between my Milwaukee cordless tools, my Dyson products and my EV, I'm set for life. I have no use for my compressor or anything corded. Next, cordless hairdryer, but I have very little hair, gulolol.

I love our built-in vac, but man does it suck (pun intended) if it picks up something it wasn't supposed to. I have to hope it doesn't get stuck in a pipe and then put the big bag in a clear plastic garbage bag and try to pick through what is mostly hair thanks to to the wife and 2 cats to find it.

SSM_DC5 06-14-2019 02:04 PM

Hmm so when am I going to see a thread by MG1 titled "corded tool giveaway bonanza!"

MG1 06-14-2019 07:18 PM

Will never happen. Will donate used corded tools to KMS Tools’, “Tools for the World,” programme.

MG1 06-14-2019 07:23 PM

As for built in vac, I sucked up a semi rare coin by accident. Had to go remove the bag, cut it open and rummage through some disturbing shit. Hairs, dust mite carcasses, spiders, and who knows what else. Did find it. If you do lose something that doesn’t make it to the bag, there’s this lubricated cloth/towel thing that unclogs shit in the system. Never had to use it myself, but it really works. So they say.

They did that with a whole bunch of old FS posts, I'm curious as to why.

Last day of spring, kids. Tomorrow's the longest day of the year. Make the most of it, for those dark-ass, winter days.

The 7-Eleven in Maillardville (Frenchie Town, Coquitlam) is now my go to Quickie Mart. They have a Freestyle fountain machine there and................ I kid you not, as in "for real," a F'Real machine!!

2 for 6 bucks! (until June 30 :okay:)

It's a newer design machine unlike the shit one they have at the Mac's at the Production Way Skytrain Station. Man, I used to go there a lot, but they started to water down their fountain drinks like all the Mac's and 7-Eleven stores. This location does not water down their shit.

On top of that, their other fast food items are as fresh as heat lamp food gets, lol.

Don't know how well announced this was but in case you didn't know, a chunk of Willingdon Ave in Burnaby will be shut down tomorrow from 8am to 1pm for a full service parade for a Burnaby senior fire captians funeral.

If you take that way you may want to avoid it and plan a detour ahead of time.
If you're wanting to get some good photos I'm sure there'll be plenty to take there with everyone in full dress uniforms.

Just a heads up.

B!tch 06-24-2019 02:14 PM

To line the street to pay respect and honour a man who spent his life risking his to protect others is admirable.

To go to take to take pictures of men in uniform is morbid.

68style 06-24-2019 02:35 PM

^
??? What's wrong with taking pics of large contingents of emergency responders in uniform? It looks impressive and is quite the spectacle.

I don't see what you find morbid about being there and taking photographs to remember it. Have you ever taken a photo at a Remembrance Day parade? Where do you draw the line for morbid? I assume you won't be viewing any photos that show up in news feeds or watching it on tv when it pops up on the news tomorrow night.

This isn't something that happens a lot and it's nice to see all the departments band together to do this.
