Been watching the TV series, Pennyworth. Dark stuff, but intriguing nonetheless. Mild nudity and stuff. Alfred like you never knew. Thomas Wayne is a little wacky, but I'm enjoying it so far.

Oh, and Batwoman is starting this Sunday on Showcase. Yummy.............chicks in tight catsuits, ftmfw!

Was at the Grandview charging station last night where I met this fellow who just got out from the theatres. He went to an advance screening of the joker. He gave the movie a 10/10. Not one to just give out a ten, he said. The weird part was, he looked like he could be the joker. I mean, he had the hair and everything. I just wanted to quietly crawl into the car and lock the doors, lol. Was after Superstore and the gas station was closed. Did I mention it was dark as hell out there? He was telling me how wonderfully gory and dark it was................

Cat got laid so much he needed a glucose drip
Quote:
A male cat has been left needing a glucose drip after it mated with at least five females in one night when he was let out of his cage by pet hotel staff.

Xiaopi, a Russian Blue, was left at the pet hotel by his owners, Mr and Mrs Zhao, in Guangdong Province in South China.

Mr Zhao said he had specifically told the business that Xiaopi had not been neutered.

"I thought they'd be professional, but the staff member didn't feed Xiaopi during the day and let him out to roam freely at night," the cat owner posted on social media.

"That's right, all the cats were free to walk around the shop and then the employee went home.

"Between around 10.40pm and 5am, my cat mated with five female cats. And those are only the ones I could see in the CCTV footage."

Zhao claims the pet hotel staff then blamed him for the incident and complained that some of the cat owners weren't planning on having kittens.

He said: "They had the nerve to be upset with me. They wanted me to explain the situation to all the other owners.

"My f***ing cat is exhausted and on a glucose drip, and this is my fault?"

Zhao later revealed the pet hotel apologised and offered to pay for Xiaopi's fluid therapy.

He added: "They're going to compensate each pregnant cat's owner 500 Renminbi (NZ$110), and have promised to sell any kittens on their behalf.

"The other owners have also told me they'll either give me a kitten or 1000 Renminbi ($220) if their cats turn out to be pregnant."

A pedigree Russian Blue can be worth anything between $680 to well over $2000.

Zhao said Xiaopi has since regained his strength and is in a stable condition.

Yesterday, I thought I’d take a break from doing laundry, so I decided to check out the old stomping grounds I the DTES. I started along Pender Street and was about get some goodness at Manpuku. Can’t go wrong going there, right? My son then says to me, “Let’s do Kent’s Kitchen.” I’m like, ”Son, that’s too far.” “No. Google maps says it’s one block south.” W - T - F ? ? Sure enough, there it was. When the hell did this happen? Anyway, the food there was way better than the stuff over at their other location. Chinese food as it was meant to be. Greasy as fuck and full of MSG. I shit you not. It was fantastic. Good value. MG1 approved.

Thai judge shoots himself after making statements about being pressured to find suspects guilty

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-49945636

Quote:
Thailand judge shoots himself in court after criticising system

A Thai judge shot himself in a courtroom after delivering a rare speech railing against the country's justice system.

Kanakorn Pianchana acquitted five Muslim men of murder on Friday before calling for a fairer judiciary.

He then recited a legal oath, pulled out a pistol and shot himself in the chest.

But the judge survived and was rushed to hospital where he is recovering from his injuries.

A statement believed to have been written by the judge before giving his ruling suggests that his suicide attempt could have been related to alleged interference in the case.

What happened in court?
The judge worked at the Yala court in the insurgency-hit south of Thailand.

After acquitting the five men of murder and firearms offences, he addressed the court with an impassioned speech that he broadcast live on Facebook.

"You need clear and credible evidence to punish someone. So if you're not sure, don't punish them," he said.

"I'm not saying that the five defendants didn't commit the crimes, they might have done so," he added.

"But the judicial process needs to be transparent and credible... punishing the wrong people makes them scapegoats."

The Facebook feed then cut but people in court said the judge read out a legal oath in front of the former Thai king's portrait before whipping out a pistol and shooting himself.

He was rushed to hospital where he is reported to be in a stable condition.

Why did he do it?
It is not fully clear why Judge Pianchana attempted to take his own life.

Suriyan Hongvilai, the spokesman of the Office of the Judiciary, told the AFP news agency he shot himself due to "personal stress".

But local media reported that the judge could have been referring to the case he had just ruled on.

A statement believed to have been written by the judge and posted to Facebook before he shot himself stated that he had been pressured to find the men guilty despite lack of evidence.

"At this moment, other fellow judges in Courts of First Instance across the country are being treated the same way as I was," he wrote.

"[If] I cannot keep my oath of office, I'd rather die than live without honour."

Criticism of the judicial system by judges is extremely rare in Thailand.

Rights groups have alleged that security forces trump up charges against Muslim suspects in the Malay-Muslim majority region.

Best way to get people on board with your cause?
Simple.
Infuriate them.
https://globalnews.ca/news/6000505/c...urrard-bridge/

Quote:
Protesters assembled at Seaforth Peace Park at the foot of the bridge with plans to march to the structure around 8:30 a.m.

About an hour later, activists walked across the bridge chanting “climate action.”

“Extinction Rebellion has three demands,” said activist Maayan Kreitzaman.

“The first one is that the government tell the truth and work with other institutions to communicate the urgency for change.

“The second demand is that government act now to cut greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2025 and halt biodiversity loss immediately, and the third demand create and be led by a citizens’ assembly on climate and ecological justice.”

Critics say the blockade will lead to more emissions from cars stuck in traffic.

Activist Edison Huang said additional emissions created by the protests are “a small cost to pushing forward with systemic change.”

Demonstrators in Victoria also took over the Johnson Street Bridge around 3:30 p.m., holding it for about two hours while police diverted traffic.

Some protesters say they are prepared to be arrested as a part of the protest.

Police in Halifax have arrested about 18 people and police in Toronto arrested around 12 people in similar protests.

In Edmonton, activists with the Extinction Rebellion movement blocked a major route into downtown Edmonton Monday morning, leading to tense moments between demonstrators and drivers.

Similar protests were planned for approximately 60 cities around the world.

From what I have heard:
1. " Richmond RCMP were called to a local hospital just after noon with a report that a patient who wasn’t permitted to leave the premises had fled on foot." - News
2. Normal patients don't steal police cars
3. It was broadcasted over the in-car radio that he was going to kill a bunch of people after he stole the police car. (hearsay)
4. Policy does not allow for pursuits unless there is imminent threat to public.

You can probably draw your own conclusions from that.

I got the pursuit part wrong, it looks like they didn't pursuit but then ... boom, imminent danger. Maybe they shoulda.

https://www.richmond-news.com/news/r...deo-1.23969654

A fleeing Richmond Hospital patient stole a police cruiser before smashing into three vehicles in a bid to get away.

Just after noon on Monday, Richmond RCMP were called to the hospital after a report that a patient, who was not permitted to leave the premises, had fled on foot.

A Mountie found the man in question, but was unable to take him into custody before the suspect got into the police cruiser and drove off.

The man driving the stolen police car then collided with a civilian vehicle and an unmarked police car near Gilbert and Donald roads, just north of Blundell Road. He then collided with a second civilian vehicle on Gilbert, just south of Blundell, where he was arrested.

No no, you got it right. What I meant was, with all 1-4 points, this guy that stole the cop car, seems to be dangerous. Dangerous to the point that they did pursue.

I was there again today. This time I asked one of the cooks behind the counter how long they've been there. He says, proudly, "42 years!"

I replied, "Oh, that's why I don't remember this place. I grew up in this area long time ago." He then asks if I went to Strathcona or Britannia. I said, "Yes, both." I then asked him, "When did you graduate?" He says, "79." I told him I graduated way before that....... he bows his head in respect.

One thing the 41st avenue location has over this location is the Pork cutlet with tomato and cheese over fried rice. For $7.95, it's a good deal. Nobody in my family likes it all that much, but I'm hooked on it, lol.
