a) drink and drive is a no no. b) Accident is accident, it's not 1st degree murder. Bad traffic accident are not necessary criminal charges worthy. It's tough for victims, but it's the truth. c) If someone committed a crime / murder and a risk of him / her fleeing the country, country has the right to detain him or her. Low risk ones eg// parking tickets, speeding, traffic accidents are different. That's why there are warrants. |
Lol, wrong thread. |
I recently killed 2 ratchets from the Stanley set I've been using for the last 10+ years and I'm torn between spending $35 to replace those 2 or $110 for a whole new 183 piece set from CT. I'm only missing 2 sockets from the set (surprisingly not the 10mm!) and I definitely don't need duplicates of all the SAE stuff I never ever use but that's not much more money for the other 183 piece. Suggestions? |
If Stanley has a lifetime warranty, go get free replacement at the DeWalt place on 1st Ave. and Boundary Rd. Actually, they are the place to get Craftsman tools replaced under warranty as well. I had one of those classic ratchets die on me. Went to Lowes, since they sell Craftsman, but they told me they don't do warranty. They suggested going to the DeWalt/Black & Decker repair store. That, I did. Got a Stanley ratchet for replacement. I've regretted that move since it was the ratchet handed down to me by my father. Thankfully, I have another one. Not even going to use it or get it replaced. They don't make tools like they used to. I should have kept the other one and just taken the time to repair it. You can repair those things. That's what CT does with their Mastercraft ratchets.......... that's how often they break, lol. Anyway, not sure if Stanley is lifetime warranty or not. |
Sears used to give you a rebuild kit with a new ball/gear/lever/spring |

Looks like this was part of an email, which several other reporters received. If you google "Sergeant Aaron Roed". |
^heard it on the news so I think it's legit. Sad story, not sure why she stepped between van and trailer. Driver must also be traumatized. Regardless, best wishes for the young lady. |
Wasnt the driver drunk though? Shouldnt he be charged for that? I mean. I got charged for my DUI. |

1 Attachment(s) I risked life and limb on two fronts today. One: I drove around in Richmond. Two: I went to check out Foody World. I haven't been there in like three years. Stopped going there when the city food inspectors shut down the place. Anyway, long story short it looks like they have yet to open that part of the store. No lunch boxes, sushi, hot food items, etc. Not even the bakery. As I walked toward the seafood area, I was hit by a wall of stench. Needless to say, I left immediately. People still shop there. Maybe they've all gone nose blind, a la Febreeze ads. Anyway, I thought this sign was pretty funny........................ I'm assuming they're not going to bother making hot food anymore. Anyone know what the scoop is on that? Not that I want food poisoning. |
Thanks to Greta ... my commute home will be 3 times as long! |

Where can I get access to a press? I have a warped pan I want to flatten. Could just buy a new pan but the point of this pan was so I'd stop buying/throwing out cheap pans... LOL |

^ If you have to explain it, it kinda ruins the wittiness of guy's humour. |
Ah I thought maybe those were the tweets some paper made an article about where the guy was being serious. |

He showed them! Man tired of being low-balled by buyers crushes classic Dodge Charger https://driving.ca/dodge/charger/aut...-dodge-charger https://postmediadriving.files.wordp...0&h=480&crop=1 The man was allegedly asking for US$10,000 for the car, reports TireMeetsRoad.com – in a post in one group, he says he was actually asking US$8,500 before lowering it to US$5,000 – but instead of offers for around that price, he was, apparently, low-balled, visited by “tire-kickers” not interested in paying that much for the car, or, mostly, contacted by prospective buyers who just simply not show up. Insurance company Hagerty values a daily-driver condition 1970 Dodge Charger 500 with a 318 V8 at US$27,000 on average. |
