I've been checking every day at midnight for the past couple of days (I heard that's when ICBC refreshes cancelled) and I've gotten bupkis. I don't know if I'm just unlucky or the backlog has gotten worse recently.

My supervisor recommended I book a road test in Poco since the roads aren't as hectic, but it doesn't seem to matter where I look: Burnaby, Point Grey, Langley, Surrey, North Van...everything is booked up solid.

Razor, the story about your dad is terrifying me. My dad is 67 and a type-2 diabetic, he also smoked until the age of 44 (some time around 96-97). My mom smoked too, but she quit when she got pregnant with my older brother in 89. What's really scary is that pancreatic cancer is the hardest cancer to detect early on and also has the highest mortality rate. There's nothing more I can say except I'm sorry, and I'm thinking of you.

Friend needs a battery replaced for his Audi. Needs reprogramming, and he's not the DIY kind of person.

If he buys the battery from Costco, anyone know where/who would install it?

bcedhk 03-14-2020 09:26 AM

silly question probably, but does the road brine they add on the road "evaporate" after a day or two? I am hoping to bring the cars out for a cruise this weekend but I'm worried about the brine they've sprayed on yesterday.

MG1 03-14-2020 09:39 PM

Gonna drop down to minus three Sunday morning............. with wind chill -7

MG1 03-14-2020 09:45 PM

What the hell is with the "Shop Like a Mother," slogan/ads.

Shop Like MG1 or at least shop like a Frugal Asian. Have you seen some trailer trash mothers shop? They can't do math, man.................

Nuff said.

Em out!

Still no luck finding a road test before May. Just tried looking for midnight cancellations and absolutely every driver's licensing office is full, even Powell River and Agassiz. I wouldn't be surprised if ICBC is reducing the number of road test slots per day due to Covid.
