Apropos indeed LUL

I ordered some LED pods off a random reseller on eBay that said they were in Canada. I get the tracking number and it says they're coming from Richmond. They arrive today, are similar but aren't quite what was pictured, and the packaging says Amazon with a shipping label saying it came from Amazon in Ontario? The fuck? It was delivered by Canada Post.

Spent the afternoon and evening out in the garden on Sunday. Pruning the roses and getting rid of last year's growth. Daffs are out and green onions are poking out. My Japanese Maples that I thought were dead are starting to come back to life. Spring is in the air at MG1's house. In a few weeks the war on weeds will start.............. bring it on, I say. Wife used to do all the gardening, but I'm learning. Couldn't tell a Dahlia from a Peony. Now I am getting into grafting and propagating. I used to kill everything I touched. Now I've got a bit of a green thumb. Anyone else into gardening?

On Saturday, I went to Select Roses' Opening Day. Purchased some awesome Hybrid Tea Roses. Deep purple rose called Dark Knight, another Pope John Paul II, a crimson red variety (forgot the name), and an orange one. My favourite is the Barkarole. Deep Purple, but starts out almost black (pure black rose is still impossible, I believe).

Roses here are not cheap. You pay for quality. Not like the cheap ass ones you see in parking lots around town..

Costco has the best deal on roses by far, and they always seem to last relatively long as well

Plus their flowers are ethically sourced

Mine are perpetual............. they bloom three times a year for 10 to 20 years. The roses at my mom's old house kept growing for 40 years. Sold the house, but I imagine they're still around. They were floribunda variety, which I'm not too fond of.

I grow them, not buy them. Carnations at Costco. Now that's a different story. Carnations last a hella long time. I have carnations in my back yard as well, but they are dwarfs (Dianthus). Finding the kind they sell at Costco and other florists is next to impossible. If I want to grow them at home, I guess I'll have to head out to the boonies to a nursery. If anyone has suggestions as to where, I'd appreciate it. I'm talking the tall minimum 12 inches variety.

The power of music.............

Music has been part of my life from day one. I've been a musician most of my life. It doesn't matter what the situation, the power of music is magical. My mother used to sing to me on a daily basis.

You don't have to be a great singer or performer............ just enjoy what it has to offer. Just watch the news during these challenging times. What brings people happiness and hope? Music.

Music has inspired troops to fight in battles, bring the strongest man to tears. It's played at weddings, funerals, sports and religious gatherings, everywhere. I can go on, but you get the idea. I sing while showering, while I'm driving, etc. I can't imagine a world without music.

Through the toughest of times, music was there.

Just a random thought I had while locked up at home. Maybe I'll bring out the musical instruments I have at home that I haven't touched in decades.

Damn Google tempting me with a Bahh Mi !! Where am I going to get one ??

Amazon, my amazon.ca orders that were shipped out of Ontario are taking forever

One of them arrived for delivery yesterday by UPS, but up's has issued a weather emergency so it's delayed the package even further -_-

My amazon Japan orders are coming thru on time without a problem though

Freedom Mobile discontinued their "Better Together" plan. My bill went up ten bucks this month.

I have my own phone, so I can leave them at any time.


Such a pain in the butt to look around for another carrier.

Up's continues to delay my packages from amazon, been sitting at delta for a week now -_-

Owned by Telus and no free US call/text/data. I don't think anyone offers as much as Freedom does. Oh well........... I guess I'll stay with Freedom. They're owned by Shaw. Service improved when Shaw stepped in, but the nickel and dime tactics, not welcome.

dhl, canadapost has warned about delays but have been delivering my products speedily, I've made orders after my UPS items have arrived in delta, and they're already being delivered today... Wtf UPS did you close
