2 16-year-olds get caught shoplifting at a Nanaimo gas station. One fires a flair. The store catches fire.

The washrooms are opened and there was also a parks board van there. FYI the opened parking lot is gated, so parking is limited and packed yesterday.

Sweet thanks! Letting my parents know. I can’t go with them because we live separately but they live in Coq and were hesitant to make the trip out there cuz of the washrooms.

What point are you trying to make?

MSREE has shared with us in the past that she's immunocompromised. This may contribute to why she lives separately and why she can't go with them.

As for her parents who need to know about washrooms. We have no information about their health history other than some age older than MSREE. We don't know if they have IBS, UTI, small bladder, small rectum. We have no idea how fast they mobilize, do they walk, do they use a cane, do they use a walker, do they use a wheelchair. What if they are so slow that they can't go out and make it back home before needing to use the washroom at least once?

They usually bring a portapotty with them in their van but they were just curious if washrooms open because to them the logic is washroom open = it’s “ok” to be there lol. They’ve been paranoid because of all the articles of people getting ticketed in Ontario for being out and about.

Even if they did use the washroom, I’m not that worried.
My mom has been carrying around sanitizing products for when we use public amenities even pre-pandemic

I was driving around today and saw some gas station that posted prices > $1.00/litre and I thought to myself ... 'Why the hell are they so expensive' ??!!

Goes to show everything is relative. 2 months ago, I'd never imagined I would see $1.00/Litre again in my lifetime.

Hey guys,

Do you know of good locations to do a car shoot with a nice natural scenic background in Vancouver?

Thanks!

Trout Lake Farmers Market was a gong show. I didn’t even attempt going. Went Riley Park instead. Way shorter line up. Less than five minutes

Reason to wrap barbed wire around the maple trees. Those things are expensive as hell.

Since I am self isolating from that other thread, I'd like to say, Costco, Superstore, Walmart, etc. are all doing a piss poor job of promoting social distancing. You see all these ads from fast food places that tout how they are taking extreme measures - nope. I've been to quite a few fast food places and none of them are doing what they claim to be doing. Somewhere between the people in charge at corporate and the workers serving and preparing the food, there are a few missing links.

The only place that impressed me, so far, was Fujiya. Clientele is a little different. Maybe that's why? They are pretty strict with the number of people they let in. With all that open space, you feel much safer.

I was at Superstore Grandview a few days ago and three of four of these (won't say it for fear of being branded a racist) were outside the doors vaping. Really close to the exit doors. Purposely blowing their shit in the direction of people leaving. I pointed it out to the security people upon entering the store and they're like, "We can't do anything about it." When finished shopping, I exited at the entrance side and took the long way back to the car.

Canadian Tire on Grandview Hwy is pretty messed up, as well. They have arrows on the floor that are very confusing. One set goes to the customer service area, while another set goes to the self serve cash register area. Well, they intersect at one point. I figured out why the arrows were there, but the people working there didn't have a fucking clue! This was a few weeks ago. Now it's a free for all. People are cutting in at various stages............ anyway, like driving on the streets of Richmond, you have to drive defensively. You just have to shop defensively.

I wear a mask, because all it takes is some joker without a mask to sneeze or cough while they walk by you.

BTW, 6 feet distance is not going to save you. I used to work in a food processing plant in the post production area where it was dry and often dusty from forklift kicking up shit, including rubber from the tires. One worker sneezed during his shift and the spray was absolutely amazing. It sprayed as a very fine mist and traveled clear to the other side of the building - dusty environment with very little lighting, except sun shining through the windows. As a side note, at the end of the day, I would blow my nose and my snot was always filled with black clumps and particles. We wore ear protection, eye protection, but nobody wore masks. I'm surprised that between the two packs a day of smoking and that filthy environment, I haven't died from lung disease yet.

Just the other day, I was in the garden. I'm allergic to pollen. I was about eight feet from the fence. I sneezed/coughed (yeah, it's possible) and I horked a phlegm ball that hit the post of the fence. Good thing I didn't have a mask on............ then again, I wouldn't have sneezed if I did.

Anyway, carry on carrying on.

I think the quarantine is starting to wear us down, but Kraft singles are awesome.
It ain't real cheese, but it is salty goodness. A grilled cheese with a single is something else!

Now dip that grilled cheese in hot tomato soup. You know how ketchup and KD go well together. This is another good pairing.

Was at Summit Tools on 1st Ave. just now. They have a laundry tub set up at the main entrance. Such a good idea. Complete with soap and paper towels. Then I saw the lineup to pay. You cannot make it into the store without walking one feet away from anyone in the lie up. All it takes, is to have a break in the lineup and keep people from browsing in the aisle where the line up is. Another possibility is to have entry to the store somewhere else. They can do it easily. Anyway, I don’t run the place.

There used to be a variation of Kraft Singles. It was called “Deluxe”. It was heavier with more waxy consistency. They were more expensive and went by way of the do do bird. Then recently, Kraft came up with yet another variant. I think it was called “Bold” cheese. Jalapeño, bacon, even dill flavoured, lol. Anyway, I prefer the Kraft cheddar slices From Costco. No matter how hard I tried, that shit went mouldy way too soon. Wasted most of it. Unless you use it within a couple of days, it wasn’t worth it. I now get my cheese from Banana Grove. One cheese, and I use the term lightly, product that lasts forever Is Cheeze Whiz. That shit just ain’t right, but I like it. And, I have no shame in admitting it.

You guys haven't hit bottom til you've had nachos made with cheese in a can in Mexico. The heat made it separate and turn the chips into mush pretty quickly.
