Calgary rapist used victim's phone to record sex assault, posted video to Facebook

Preston will be on the sex offender registry for the next 20 years.

McCluskey noted that during a pre-sentence psychiatric evaluation with Dr. Patrick Baillie, Preston "talks about feeling sorry for himself."

Preston was on house arrest pending the sentencing hearing. He breached the conditions of his arrest three times and failed to attend court twice.

Something is so very odd about this story.

He came back twice and assaulted her?! Meanwhile her boyfriend "slept" in the same bed the entire time?

Very odd story, makes me wonder if the boyfriend was complicit in the whole thing. Good luck no matter how drunk I am, trying to rape my girlfriend in my bed while I'm sleeping right beside her.

Seems like there's more to this story.

Question on the Strata Property Act.

Scenario

lets say John Smith is being fined for a bylaw violation regarding an oversized animal and is told to remove the animal. He's fined and then requests a hearing to plead his case which he's allowed to do. S.P.A says he's 7 days to receive a decision. 7 days pass and nothing was done.
Case closed? Strata failed to do their part. Does John keep the animal and the case can't be brought back up again or does the strata just fine him and tell him he has to remove the animal again and he'll have to request another hearing and start all over?

Neighbors dog. Nice guy and his dog is cool and is maybe 2" over the height limit but the old people in the building complain about everything... including the amount of birds there are in the surrounding trees lately.. no joke on that one...

racerman88 06-12-2020 11:10 AM

Check with Condo homeowners association there is only one guy working but he will get back to you within a reasonable time.
This is the person who was working last year when I had questions about strata.

if anyone sees the chinese ladies selling fruit on boundary anytime soon let us know. i dropped by on sunday and they were still having a plant sale, but it looked like they were winding down with tons of inventory sold. i'm guessing the fruit sellers come in next, maybe in a few weeks? want my cherry fix.

What happened to the Hagen-Dazs Spirit line of ice cream? Those things were delicious. Vanilla rum Blondie might be the best ice cream flavour ever made.

It wasn’t even the coldest, rainiest June in the past 10 years, dude. We definitely didn’t beat 2012 and it may not have cleared 2016, either (not sure if current numbers include yesterday or not; we’re about 5 mm shy of 2016)

It's not a secret, you don't need to "find" them. It's public information:

is there anywhere in Richmond that sells those white metal venetian blinds that came in condos back in the day? I need to replace just one in my mom's condo because it's broken apart.

I was mowing my lawn yesterday and then revealed this ant colony.
I couldn't exactly see any "hill or mound" with a specific entrance, but who knows, my push mower probably flattened it, lol.

So this is what I saw, with a ton of ants all over it. WTF is this?
Any ant experts in here? Are they ant eggs? I wouldn't think they would lay the eggs so close to the surface though.

Anyway, it was nasty, so I poured boiling water over the whole area.

racerman88 07-06-2020 05:03 AM

If you don’t have pets try coffee grounds first. If that doesn’t work borax and sugar with a little water will work for sure. Just make sure not animals come into your lawn

This is more for MG1 (if he's reading this) and for those of you who grew up watching Clint Eastwood's spaghetti western films, but Ennio Morricone, music composer of his famous movies (and many others) passed away last night at the age of 91. RIP.

My wife came across this GoFundMe for a Vancouver family who needs to raise $3M for a time-sensitive treatment for their baby. That lead me to an article from Global that linked to two other articles about two other little Canadians that need help getting this treatment ASAP. I know you can't help everyone but I couldn't imagine not trying to give these little ones a chance.

Here's the articles:
