I don't know if other recycling places do it too but North Star Metal Recycling. They pay you by weight. Last time they gave me a rough estimate and said maybe $5 for the small Honda size one and $10 for the big euro ones. Won't know for sure until they weigh it and I don't recall the $ per pound.

My garden is infested with the fluttering bastards. When I water my garden, they all scatter about. Small ones and large ones. I usually keep the garage door open to cool down the garage, but I noticed a lot of them have made their home in the garage. They're probably laying their eggs in every corner, nook, and cranny. God damn it. Anytime a species takes over an area, it brings on other problems. I've noticed a more than normal amount of spiders outside.
Looks like it's a cyclical thing - every ten or 20 years. What worries me is two years in a row might become three. Then, it may become something else. Good news is, they only like tree bark and not food, clothes or paper and don't bite. They just burrow into your ear while you're sleeping......... j/k

Waited so long for this moment. Veggie Dogs at IKEA. The Bistro’s first day today. The red cabbage, fried onions, and honey mustard did not disappoint. I charged the EV, walked over to Spirit Halloween, and had lunch. Nordic water, not so much, lol. No line up, either. IKEA washrooms, so clean. Their cleaning crew is there all the time.

While watching the Blue Jays get their asses handed to them for a second day in a row, the Yankee's catcher, who hit 2 homers, so far, caught my eye. Kyle Higashioka. I did a google search to see what team he played for in the Japanese league. Turns out, dude is an American - - 4th generation Japanese American, to be exact. Huntington Beach, Cali. It turns out, Kyle's grandfather was part of the 244th Infantry Regiment, where he earned a bronze star. I then google searched the 244th. I knew they were a regiment solely made up of Japanese Americans. Damn.......... the most decorated unit in the history of the US Army (18, 000 decorations+ - wow!).
Every time i hear that song i think of this movie.
One of Spielberg's less popular ones, i guess. Still a good film though as i recall.

If you have empty 2 litre bottles or any drink container over 1 litre, with the exception of milk related products, the price structure is about to change in October.
In a nutshell, your bottle that you paid an extra 20¢ or more for, will only get you 10¢ back. On October 1st, 2020, all containers will require a 10¢, no matter what size. After the 11th of October, all bottles, regardless of size, will be worth 10¢ each.
Recently I was cleaning out my Tracker and found a business card of an Abby police constable with a file number written on the back. My memory is fuzzy on what this was about. The file number goes something like 13-xxxxx. If the 13 represents the year 2013, then I am pretty sure I know what it is about. Anyone know if the number preceding the dash on police file numbers is indeed the year in which it was opened?
Any one a "shopaholic"? The first Nordstrom Rack opens today at Willowbrook mall out in Langley. Anyone or their girlfriends/wives planning on a shopping spree? I'm curious to see how much of a gong show it is right now since it only opened 40min ago.

This smoke is getting to me.......... not only that, my precious stamp collection is not going to do well with this shit in the air. I have two Sharp air purifiers, so I put the one from the bedroom and put it into the room that furnishes the collection. Needing one for the bedroom, I found one at Costco this morning. Its a germ guardian. I have no idea how good or bad it is. It's from Costco, so if it isn't up to snuff, it'll go back. Anyone have one of these? It has a HEPA filter and a UV-C bulb, so it can't be all that bad.

Is it the taller black stand up one with the blue light UV-C?

But ive been using this site for the last few days as I shopped for air purifiers, as I've been trying to find alternatives to blueair and coway since they're soldout everywhere

Not sure. It's the AC4700.
I'm heading out to Costco to get another one. I can't believe how good it is. I feel better already after two hours of it being on. I can always return it....... rule of Costco. Get it before it's gone.
