Again, I agree. However a colourful rug essentially forces you to work with the colours it brings into the room. Especially in smaller spaces regardless of being “timeless” it’s kinda shitty to be picking paint colours based on a rug you blew your load on. I’m one to spend money on quality stuff and also waste money on somewhat “frivolous” purchases, and I would never consider spending 4-5k on a rug because that’s just a waste for me.
I’ve dealt with a lot of designers and some ULTRA high end stuff ie. 40k rugs custom made by burrit bro’s etc. Generally those people are tossing rugs and switching them out quicker than the $400 IKEA rug.

Does anybody know or has come across these "side hustle life coaches" on Instagram? Is this some kind of MLM/pyramid scheme?
It sounds like all they sell is coaching others on how to sell themselves as life coaches???

Don't waste your time and money. Any good advice worth your attention can take a lifetime to master. Luckily there aren't many.
The current young generation... those born in the 90s are too impatient.
They are used to the internet where it can tells you the answer of any definitive question in a matter of seconds.
And this opens up to these scammers who are trying to monetize on open-ended questions like "how to build wealth" in these fastfood courses that cost an arm and legs.
I don't even need to google and I'd know their usual strategy:
He/she made x-amount of money in a short time... it's EASY and SIMPLE! ANYONE can do it! And if you add to this maillist, you can learn more!
Then once you put your contact info in, a simple "success story" would be sent to you... if you want to know more, here's a course for a low price of five grand!
If I tell you my stock portfolio is up 900% within the last year, would you give me five grand to tell you how I did it? You wouldn't... because I'm a nobody.
But if I post a screenshot of my stock portfolio showing as such and a pic of me driving a Bentley... would you? If you even hesitated for a slight second... that's a problem.
Gold jewelry - I've worn the same necklace every day for 20+ years. There's 4 small items, 2 of the pendants are roughly the size of a dime that are connected to it and one them has a raised inscription on the back side of it. The raised part on the back pendant is the part which lays on my chest and over the years is slowly wearing away. My question is this, is there a protective coating that can be put over them to prevent them from rubbing against each other and eventually wear the raised inscription away for ever? Possibly a clear coat that doesn't bulky looking? they're each about 1mm thick. Just a flat piece of gold with a picture on one side and inscription on the other.
I saw the cute chick that works at Liqour Depot in North Burnaby wearing the Mingle mask. It would've been a shame to hide that great smile with a KN95, look like a bird's beak, or insect, mask. It's all about the dimples, amirite?

You know, that's probably my only major gripe about the mask. The inability for others to, and to see others smile. It's a very powerful social cue.
One that almost seems taken for granted.

Yeah, it's very hard to see what the other person is thinking, too. Apple had to change one of their emoticons. The one with the mask looked like it was negative.
Speaking of which......... I just got back from Shoppers seniors day. $1.00 of 4 litre milk. On the way there, the street that is behind the complex is blocked off to traffic while they do some upgrades. I use that road to avoid all the ridiculously high, traffic callers (speed bumps). It's pretty obvious there's only one way out. The flagger dude starts signalling me to go left. Duh, really? I give him the thumbs up to say, I get it. He keeps signalling me to turn. I keep giving him the thumbs up. He was on auto pilot. So, I decided to give him the "god bless" sign.
The god blesss sign is middle finger out with a thumbs up. When I did that, he gives the thumbs up back to me.............. I cracked up. His job must be uber fucking boring.

Well, 20% off regular price. Turns out to be about 96 cents off. 4 Litres for 3.75 or so. Superstore and Shoppers had, $1.00 off (1000 points) offers alternating between the two for a while. Not sure if it works or not anymore, but I had a few instances where I got both 1000 points and the seniors discount. My Shoppers used to have three bags of cubed ice 3 for $9.99. With seniors discount that's 8 bucks for three bags. $2.67 a bag!
Anyway, every so often, they have 20% off, plus $10.00 vouchers and sometimes gas cards for seniors day (Thursdays).
On the subject of deals............. Just the other day, I was at No Frills. They had Franco American canned gravy for 67 cents each - made by Campbells. Not bad price, but they also had a "Hauler" special of 500 points on each can. That turns out to be 17 cents a can. Three types. Beef, Chicken, and Turkey. Expiry date of mid 2022. I got me a few. McD's fries for a buck each at Walmart, the gravy, and squeaky cheese from Costco. Quick and dirty poutine for a frugal asian price, lol. The gravy is not great, but it's cheap. Better shit than a lot of those places that sell poutine at crazy prices. Cavendish frozen fries are on sale just about everywhere, too.
All those points add up and when you use them at spend your points events, it's money.........
I bought a Nintendo switch and used the maximum points allowable and paid under 50 bucks or so, taxes in. I thought the most was $100.00, but apparently, it can be more. So the advertised deal is $200.00 worth in points gets you $300.00 spending power. I got more. The sales guy explained it to me, but I was too tired to try and figure it out. Anyway, I love Optimum points.
Gas at Mobil or Esso = 4 cents/litre off. Then they have multiple points events every now and then.

I've taken to "super smiling" to the point of asian squinty eyes to try and convey that I'm smiling.

It was my first time checking out Prime Day as I finally caved and became a Prime member during the lockdown earlier this year.
I got all excited for nothing, spent 2 hours browsing the site and didn't see anything I wanted. The items I were eyeing didn't go on sale
I'm tempted to get the Razer Mamba Elite mouse but my DeathAdder Elite I'm using is fine... lol
Didn’t really see anything that piqued my interest. Newegg has a few things like a 2 TB WD Blue SSD for $234 (M.2 or 2.5”), which is the lowest price ever by a mile according to PC Partpicker (previous low was $290 on Vuugo).
Wow, that is an awesome deal. I've had mine for just over a year. It has saved me a few times. Left the garage door open by mistake. It would be great if the thing had some kind of a timer.
Anyway, they will send the item to Canada?
