Can anyone confirm if these Dr. Dre's are real or not? Good deal for about $70 including shipping?

that's if you're looking for great insulation and even a pair of earbuds since you don't even hear your own footsteps when you walk just the vibration

If the nurses are anything like the Italian girl next door, I'm in like a dirty shirt.

Better send two, 'cause this old man is "up" for a pair of cute nurses.

fliptuner 03-19-2012 10:08 PM

Lol...it's not that I think you're so old, it's cause I could picture you taking advantage of the service to play video games with a cute, young nurse.

Oh and tomorrow is the Vernal Equinox. Welcome Spring!!!

I think I jinxed mine they're starting to show their age a bit. Will probably have to buy another pair in a few months but at almost 2 years old they've lasted the longest/sounded the best/been the cheapest out of all the earbuds I've owned .. so much win. Sound better than when I first got them .. broken in all nice now :sweetjesus:

One other example i can think of is in Japanese, they have specific vocab for shades of colours, e.g. mizuiro for "light blue" or ao for dark blue, unlike in English where we do not have single vocabs to describe shades of colours. Because of this, English speakers are not accustomed or programmed to characterize specific shades of colours as accurately as Japanese people; hence our perception of colour in the world may be shaped differently simply because of limitations in vocabulary.

But...... in Japanese ao could be green or blue

mizuiro literally means water colour (colour of water), not that I'm an expert in the Japanese language.

Green - English language:

Olive Drab, Forest Green, Persian Green, Yellow Green, Fern Green, Teal, Pistachio, Lime, Mantis, etc.

Back to the missing words thing........ is there a language out there that does not have "thank-you"?

I took a friend to the cancer clinic on 10th ave. today. Had to wait a couple of hours, so I decided to hang out at City Square on 12th and Cambie. Parking there is free if you shop at Safeway. Anyway, I was sitting at one of the tables just outside Starbucks, taking advantage of their free wifi.

I'm deep into surfing the net when I smell something real nice. I look up and see these gorgeous legs. Stockings to be exact. Lace........ mmmmmm. This chick is like bent over looking for something in her rolling cart. As I look higher, I catch a glimpse of her face. OMFG, she was a godess! Damn. I was like, :ahwow:

There I was with my iPod and I couldn't even take a pic...... kind of creepy, I know, but if I had, all of you would forgive me in an instant. Godess is the only word I can use to describe her. All that was missing was cool music and rays of sunshine coming through the glass wall.

Then I notice this place is full of beautiful women. I go upstairs and it all made sense. Blanche McDonald. When I retire, I am going to get a job as a custodian at this mall, LOL.

Just get a gym membership at that fitness world, get on the bikes that face out the window and overlook the starbucks .. that way you're not creeping .. you're just that old guy that loves the bike.

Just checked their locations and not a single one anywhere north of the Fraser River or west of Coquitlam.

HonestTea 03-21-2012 02:13 AM

^ Across from Coquitlam Center and right outside of Save-on-foods?

Simplex123 03-21-2012 02:29 AM

No he's basically saying there are none in Burnaby/Vancouver/Richmond.
Technically there is one at Scotiabank theatre in DT but they never do any promotions cuz they aren't company operated.

On weekdays....is McDonald's breakfast until 10am? 10:30am? 11am?

MG1 03-21-2012 09:49 AM

It used to be 11 am weekdays and 10:30 weekends, but I believe they are all 11:00 am now.

Jermyzy 03-21-2012 09:50 AM

F...got rear-ended today. Signalled the other driver to pull to the small street, and she takes off. Luckily I managed to pull a quick U-turn and chase her down. Tells me she didn't hit me until I point out the scrapes on the bumper...then she starts apologizing non-stop. I exchange info and she's still blabbing about how she just woke up and she's tired and didn't realize she hit me. I tell her I'm late for work, and she pulls open my door to keep blabbing about how she's sorry and if she'll have to pay for any damage. I tell her that ICBC will contact her. Getting ready to pull away and she's still knocking on my window asking if everything is okay? WTF? (And yes, mainland chinese driver in Richmond)

I made it in just in time :fuckyea:

Wouldn't it be the opposite though? Breakfast until later on weekends?

Apparently not. It's like Ikea opening their doors at 10:00 am weekdays and 9:00 am on Saturdays.

For a lot of people, Saturday is still the designated day for shopping. Sunday is day for sleeping in, if you aren't a church goer.

Report it as hit and run?

Unless she truly didn't realize she hit you at the time.

BTW, she blabbing to you in Chinese?

fliptuner 03-21-2012 11:46 AM

The BS part of it is, that because you caught up to her, they might not charge her.

Happened to me a couple of years ago when my GF's car got hit and run. I chased the guys down but since I forgot my phone in the rush, I couldn't call the cops from where I found them and had to force them to come back to the scene. ICBC said because they came back (regardless of how/why) they wouldn't be charged. Hopefully, since you guys exchanged info at a different scene, there's a chance she'll get screwed.

GL w/ ICBC.

Quick update. Nothing will happen as you mentioned b/c I ended up catching to her. ICBC person actually suggested if it happens again, to let her go and just get her license plate haha. Anyways, apparently the other person called in the claim already and accepted 100% responsibility, so my deductible is waived.

I was watching my pvr'ed of The Big Decision, I realize that Frank D'Angelo, who famously advertised the Cheetah energy drink during HNIC. Then he advertised some pasta?

MG1 03-22-2012 05:32 PM

Hahaha.......... cops posing as panhandlers at intersections to catch cell phone users.

It's nothing new in other cities, but I heard on Global News that it is now happening here. Pretty sneaky.
