My co-worker went missing in the wilderness on Wednesday and they found him, his GF, and his dog alive this morning. Super relieved and happy

Lol, I’m in the car at Chinatown. Parked while my kids go Kent’s Kitchen, Manpuku, the bakery, etc. this Camry tries to park in front of me. Driver is basically at 45 degrees when she hits the curb. Husband gets out and tells wife to get out. He’s just as bad as the wife. Four tries later he manages to squeeze into a spot two cars can get into.

If you buy the box from Canada Post.............

https://www.canadapost.ca/cpc/en/per...-rate-box.page

Up to 5 Kg limit.

Because of Covid, you have to buy the whole package. Probably not worth it for you, but the info is there for others who are contemplating sending parcels for Xmas. Better do it now, before it's too late.

Size does matter, but weight really makes a difference.... to answer your question better, click on link below and search for "Find aRate". The website is slow.

NVM, you have to have an account with Canada Post. I have an account, so I can do it, but I have to put in all the details, like where it's going and all that. Opening an account, IIRC, wasn't that hard. I guess the alternative is to go to a post office and ask. Lineups are long this time of year. I'm going to my local Shoppers today, pm me the size and weight of your parcel and I'll find out for you. Post Office lady there and I go way back. Just general area where the parcel is going to, weight and size.

Any of you have experience with the Weiser smart keys? I'm having trouble getting it to work smoothly. I need to jiggle the newly programmed key to get it to work and sometimes it needs like 30 seconds of jiggling. I've tried reprogramming it 3-4 times already. Also every time I program it back to the original key, it works nice and smooth.

Need this in 3/8" diameter. Anyone have any leads?

Otherwise, I'm wondering how strong a bumper repair kit like this one is if I plan to drill a hole in it after for the correct sized expanding rivet. Long story short, I'm an idiot and drilled a 3/8" hole when I should've used a 1/4" bit instead.

Jezuz fucking hell........... how the hell do they do it?

We don't have this calibre of marching bands at any level. High school? And how the hell do they record the music in such high quality? It's a high school gym!

Better than most military bands. Especially here in Canada.

Another one outside......... as a band director, it's hard to have two clarinets play in tune, let alone 25+. I'm out of breath just watching this. Lungs and embouchure of steel.

In competition.........

Rose Bowl Parade.......... Mario Bros. Lol.

i did make an account, thanks! yeah actually once it's considered a parcel, then regardless of whether it's in an envelope or not, it's pretty much charged the same as a box. too bad, my items are lightweight but poofy, so although they fit in an envelope especially if they're pressed down, they still count as a parcel and it costs $9 to ship even within vancouver.

Anyone try the Harvey's Stuffed Cheeseburger Sandwich?

Also, where the hell is a Harvey's location?

I don't trust reviews from other websites. RS, I trust, lol.

I really missed the days of going to home depot with my dad and I can go to Harvey's for a burger. haha

MG1 11-20-2020 06:26 PM

Yes, that's the last time I've seen one. I imagine they're popular back east.

whitev70r 11-20-2020 07:05 PM

^ One of the last ones to close was on Granville Street, Downtown.

Obsideon 11-20-2020 07:18 PM

I miss Arby's :(

MG1 11-20-2020 07:38 PM

OMFG, you're right. I forgot about Arby's. They had some good mailer coupons. The food was very good, too.

SSM_DC5 11-20-2020 07:41 PM

Arby's curly fries:fullofwin:

They got replaced by subways, but apparently even the subway ones are being phased out

Their website lists one in Port Coquitlam (2105 Hawkins) and another in West Kelowna.

nismodrifter 11-22-2020 02:22 PM

question from an Albertan, new to BC.

What do you guys do re moss on asphalt roof shingles? This is a non-issue in Alberta obviously. House is 2 years old.

I see moss removal services are a thing here. Is this an annual thing to do come spring?

Any insight re this appreciated.
