Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the new wired earphones nowadays come with that feature? I know my old Klipsch ones had these feature built-in. I mean as long as it came with those controls in the cord.

They probably do, I just have a bunch of older headphones that still work well. I also don't like how the ones from my phone have the controls hanging off my right ear, every time I press the buttons it's wiggling it loose.

I believe so but u also have to pay for new plates when u goto renew ur insurance aswell. I remember cancelling my insurance cause i wasnt planning on driving cause of the pandemic for 2 months(save $450) possibly more. When i went to renew i had to pay all the extra fees i only ended up saving $225

Looking to renovate a couple rooms in the basement with some new flooring.

I pulled off a bit of the carpet and under the carpet padding is some sort of tile.

House is originally built in 1955 and I'm not sure of its renovation history pre-1990.

Would prefer not to have to take off the tiles if I don't need to due to asbestos concerns.

Thoughts on just placing luxury vinyl plank on top of it?

I've been looking at the Lifeproof stuff at Home Depot that has underlayment preinstalled, would that act like the carpet pad to help level the floor?

Without knowing whether the original vinyl flooring material contains asbestos or not, it would be potentially opening a bad can of worms. Typically, it's safe as is left alone, if not disturbed, ie sanded or scraped or crumbling. it's fine if you install your new vinyl on top, effectively sealing it in.
You'll then only have to worry about it during demolition, which there is probably more asbestos in other areas of the house

The underlayment does just that. If you are picky, you may end up seeing more of the floor contour (if any) due to the long and pliable vinyl planks, vs the thick carpet

That's exactly what I'd do. Pull the carpet and install LVP over the tile.

Might want to look for the install instructions for whatever flooring you plan on using. The laminate I'm using allows a few millimeters of uneven floor over a 1 meter span. I needed to level out the floor before I applied the laminate.

I bought the flooring, put a few pieces over the bump, and yeah, it's not going to go well. Noticeable gap between flooring and the existing tile. Might be less noticeable if the flooring is cut smaller vs. the full plank, but I dunno.

I'll do some research, but seeing as I can't sand down the tiles due to asbestos concerns, I'll probably end up pouring some self-leveling concrete over it unless you guys have a better idea.

Guess who this is. The person is trying to get this photo removed from the internet.

Self levelling isn’t too hard but you’ve gotta make sure you’ve got a decent flat edge to screte with. A palm sander is nice as well to feather out the edges. Probably your best best imo

I don't get it either

It's Khloe Kardashian.

That photo is an unedited non-photoshopped version of her body, so I guess they're freaking out about.

She still looks beatable in that photo IMHO :lol

I figured everyone knew at this rate that nothing you see in magazines/IG/FB is real, all celebrities have their photos doctored and altered. The basic-bitch in Vancouver that you lust over on IG is doing the same :lol

I feel bad for young girls, it's a problem in our culture.

Implying her with makeup and/or post editing is any better??

The irony of trying to hide and delete the pic where you actually look normal compared to the plastic surgery freak you are now..

StylinRed 04-10-2021 09:59 AM

people are insecure, girls are even more insecure to the point of being crazy, so I kinda feel bad for her

While she looks normal to us in that pic, it's something to shrug off for most, for her, she must be going through so much torment

I've an ex who is crazy like that, so I can sympathise

donk. 04-10-2021 04:12 PM

Coyotes doing the Lord's work by attacking a guy on an electric scooter that crashed into them on the seawall.

Hopefully this is a warning to electric scooter owners to not ride their f'n scooters on the seawall.

Anyone know their bugs?

Been finding these little guys around the window. No idea how they're getting in since I basically have my window airtight-sealed with those plastic screen kits for winter insulation.

Found this one crawling on the back of my black-out curtains. Trying to figure out their source.
