I’d say stop using the fertilizer on the leaves to start.
If the soil was too rich/hot right off the bat it can stunt growth. Hard to tell in this case but if the soil hasn’t been amended with say, potting soil, compost, manure, etc. In quite a while it may be lacking nutrients then. It’s kind of hard to tell. The growth looks kinda normal but I dunno
I’d maybe get somthing very mild like a kelp or alfalfa meal and amend it into the top of the soil with fingers or a rake and then water it in. Some compost or bags of “living soil” might be an alright top dressing
Edit* the dying pepper plant almost looks like it could be overwatered. That could be the culprit all around if he’s been watering heavily

Thanks. | How loose is the soil? My mom was an awesome gardener. She had a green thumb. Me, not so much. Three years ago, I had zucchinis that made even the best Italian gardeners in the neighbourhood green with envy. Last year, I had wimpy dying plants. This year, my daughter wanted to grow some eggplants. She purchased a few plants and did all the work. The plants are now dying or completely dead. She thinks I'm overwatering. Could be, but I've always watered the plants the same way. I looked closely at the plants and it hit me. My mom used to really pack in the soil. I think my daughter didn't do that. So last night when the sun was setting, I put in more soil and packed it in. Too early to tell, but that might be the issue with the eggplants. Loose soil allows no protection for the roots.......... that's the story I'm sticking too, so I don't get labeled an eggplant murderer.

Then we bought some triple mix and plopped in the plants. He's been using this fertilizer that comes in a white pellet (that you see in some of the pictures).
But based on your comments and what others have said online, I think it's a mix of a lot of things - lack of nutrients, the soil not being packed properly and possibly overwatering.
Will head over to Home Depot tomorrow, buy some manure/fertilizer, come home, mix the triple mix soil more, pack it in, then plop the manure/fertilizer on top and go from there.
Triple Mix - https://www.homedepot.ca/product/vig...oil/1000683911
That is the triple mix we used.

Thanks.

The triple mix seems like it’s probably ok. Pre-mixed bags seem to always be lacking in quality, but that is the right mix. If you’re going to add some manure or somthing else once again you will have hot soil which can benefit plants in mid growth but may be hard to start new plants in. You might want to grab a small bag of seed starter and plant the bulbs etc. Into a small hole filled with the seed starter so the roots grow out into the nutrient rich soil
Also you can never really have enough drainage if you add a bit of perlite or lava rock

The best soil, bar none is the Sea Soil. Costco had them, but sold out. I purchased a few bags while they had them. You can get the sea soil at Gardenworks or Mandeville on Marine Drive. I tell you, that shit works like nothing else on the market. BTW, my daughter used garden mix that I had lying around and not the sea soil. I put the sea soil on top of the eggplants later, btw. https://www.seasoil.com
Oh, forgot to mention. Sea soil is a no go for roses. It will ruin your roses. So far, over the years, it has turned my gladiolus and Dahlias into monsters. Berries of all kinds love the sea soil. Green onions and garlic, too. My rosemary plant turned into a humongous, out of control, bush. Lavender so much so, I had to cut the thing in half.
If you are transplanting, there's this solution that Gardenworks sells. It's amazing. It's in concentrated liquid form and really easy to use. My Bloodgood Japanese Maple was rootballing (I think that's the term). EDIT: The proper term is Rootbound. I purchased a giant muck pail from Princess Auto. drilled a few holes at the bottom and transplanted the tree into it. I put down a layer of river rock then added potting soil, sea soil, and pumice. I used the transplanting solution and crossed my fingers. The tiny, Charlie Brown tree went from two feet tall to six feet tall and 5 feet wide in two seasons. https://www.princessauto.com/en/67-l...t/PA0008895443
Princess Auto sells out of these in less than a couple of days all the time they go on sale. However, Home Depot has red ones on sale every Canada Day for $12.00??? At least for the last three or four years. I can't be the only one who uses these large pails as plant pots..........

Where do people look for jobs these days? I've had the same job for 11 years so I'm a bit out of the loop. I've been poking around LinkedIn and I'll be looking at Indeed tomorrow but I don't know of anything beyond that. I'm looking for remote work so anything international is good too.

+1 on linkedin, I keep my eye out on the industry and i find they have a good algorithm on showing me what's currently out there, at least locally, which is what i probably set my filters too.

Anyone know anyone in the south Surrey area who works on bikes/scoots? My ruckus hasn’t been started for a bit now and could probably use a nice tune up. I don’t want to haul it to Langley or Tsawwassen if I don’t have to. Hoping to get lucky here

Walked past the BC liquor store this morning and there was a rather long line up at 8am that wrapped around the building. Confused so I asked a guy what's with the line up. Apparently Ryan Reynolds has signed 100 bottles and distributed them to 5 different stores in BC. 20 per store and theres a line up here of easily 50 people lol. I can't understand for the life of me figure out why they'd be in line knowing 100% they're not getting one.

People are stupid | It's a modern day phenomenon I'll never understand.
This FOMO culture bullshit nowadays is fucking perplexing to me. Vancouver is a city full of hustlers, I guarantee you those people think they can make a quick buck off buying the bottle and settling it thereafter.
Most annoying thing about current culture in this city.

Just checked BCL site and the normal non signed bottle is $39. For $280 I rather buy myself a nice bottle of scotch. No Gin is worth that kind of money, signed or not.

Is Ryan reynolds really a draw at all to pay anything over retail? Lol
It’s all the same gross people who do this stuff as Mike said. Take some pictures of the people in line and they will be the same people trying to flip whatever other garbage comes up

The doof in the first ad was able to get two | Talked to a lady on the way back from my walk with the dog and she said there were only 18 bottles so the cashiers stashed one for themselves. This lady was there at 5am and was 11th in line.

Good ... Bennett is Israel PM. Never did like Netanyahu. Hope this guy is a moderate and work towards some sort of peaceful co-existent with the Palestinians.
