$29 for 1 ride
$39 for 2 rides

1.7km long, can reach speed up to 40km/h
so how long is the ride? let's say avg 20km/h, for 1.7km track, about 5 min?
$30 for this? what am I missing?

Oh I've seen the test runs? I guess on tiktok, it looks pretty cool, I'd totally go on it at least once, that's likely what they're counting on too

Anyone have a list of must have food recommendations at the crystal mall food court? It's been awhile since I been there and I was overwhelmed with choices. Ended up getting some mediocre spicy beef noodle soup.

TIA

Dumplings way in the back left corner. It's like the last stall.

Been noticing holes in my broccoli plants.

Found cabbage loopers and aphids in the last 24 hours.

Flicked the cabbage loopers off and stomped on them with all my might. Left the bodies nearby as a warning.

Blasted the aphids off with the host.

Feels as if someone is robbing me.

:ohgodwhy:

Might need to buy some insecticides to deal with these guys.

Hondaracer 07-09-2021 02:45 PM

Can always buy lady bugs to deal with aphids

Paging the TV nerds!

I got a best buy gift card to use, so I started browsing TV's and this one caught my eye.

https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product...x950h/14470548

I want 75 inches or bigger.
Don't need hdmi 2.1 because I don't game.
earc is probably something I should get because that's what is good to use with soundbars.

Need your help to know if the tv is good for the price range and if this price is good enough to buy now rather than wait for a better sale few months down the road.

Razor Ramon HG 07-09-2021 09:23 PM

Yep, that's the best you'll get short of going for an OLED television.

Sony televisions have the best picture processing on the market and I love that they use Android for their OS since it's so smooth and easy to use compared to the alternatives.

I just have a sour taste in my mouth with Sony from buying the X900H last year. They advertised it as 4K 120Hz compatible, but there's blurriness at 120Hz across all resolutions. Still not fixed as it's a hardware limitation according to other folks.

Imo unless you’re getting some insane last item/open box type deal from a BB/London drugs etc. The only place to buy a TV is Costco.

Their extended warrantee and general return policy can’t be beat. I believe they were advertising that same TV recently in their flyer dor 2200

Checked the online flyer, cocowest and Costco's site. Can't find the 75 inch 950h in any of them. Little help on where you saw it?

It was in the executive membership little pamphlet I think so it actually may have been an online deal only, sorry forgot that that was where I saw it

How can I get the rest of this peeling paint off without scuffing or damaging the plastic underneath? It flakes off pretty easily but I don't want to be picking at it with my nails for hours.

Pressure washer?

MG1 07-10-2021 05:50 PM

Sandblast the thing. The right medium (abrasive) and decent pressure and you’re good as gold. It’s always good to have friends with a sandblaster cabinet. If you plan on doing some paint removal but don’t want to invest too much into a sandblaster, you can get one of those Princess Auto cheapies. You need a compressor, though.

Get a larger cabinet model like a Modu-Blast and you can clean up BBQ parts, engine blocks, carbs, you name it. Best place to get advice is Manus Abrasives. Yeah, not the kind of thing you want to get into, but you’d be very popular. People be like coming over all the time. And no, I haven’t got one. Lol. Just access to one.

Oh yeah, lots of DIY sandblaster videos on YouTube. You don’t need a cabinet sandblaster to do what you’re doing.

Kind of surprise no one is interested on RS.

A lot of people don't read the ad fully or even at all before they message. The ad shows the location proximity of a map. Never disclose your actual address if you live in a house. Apartment is okay. Generally just give them the street intersection or nearby business to meet at in public.

Although over time you will notice a lot of time wasters on FB Marketplace. I have had my fair share. E.g. Yesterday had a guy message me for my new car wash equipment, asks me if it's available and if I had multiples. I reply and he goes, "it's okay". Like WTF is that supposed to mean? You contacted me and I replied 10 minutes later, what the hell is okay? Idiot making no sense.

Could be that people are trying to see how far they need to travel to buy from you. The location in FB is pretty broad and might even be wrong if people don't pay attention when creating the ad.

I still meet in public for transactions and give general area as a frame of reference when people ask for address.

Richmond Night Market is back. July 23rd or something like that. Place is just, meh. Definitely not worth its own thread. Anyway, unless there’s something really special this year, not even going to give it a thought.

whitev70r 07-11-2021 10:13 AM

^ Richmond Night Market is a young people thing. If you were in your 20's ... you take your hot gf there. Old people thinks that it is over priced eats, priced admission, parking hell.

MG1 07-11-2021 01:56 PM

OMFG! Did Italy just score? The whole neighborhood just went nuts. I have Italians living all around me. This morning red white and green flags everywhere.

EDIT: green white and red

punkwax 07-11-2021 02:11 PM

That was an intense ending even for a guy with no investment in the sport it was a great watch.
