I would stay the F away. I have some friends that are involved with it for over a decade. They are pretty involved in it and they still dont make enough to for it to be there main source of income. They still required other Full time jobs to get by. But the fact that ur manager probably told u the truth about how much he was making is alil reassuring just to atleast listen. Alot of "them" like to bring up how much this or that person makes which is always in the 6-7 figure range but never say how much themselves make. But i would ask him how long hes been in it and how much time he puts into it to see if its worth making that extra 10k a year possibly...... I swear my friends in the first 5 years were probably making like $2 an hr doing that shit. But i believe now hes making 40k from it after all this time which isnt bad at all. But i know he put alot of work into it. They basically sell insurance and put u into there investment portfolio when u want to buy rrsps shit like that. and they get there little %

I'm not saying this type of business cannot make money, it's for the select few that rakes in the $$$$$$$$ and the rest fighting for the scraps. What you put in is what you get out of things in life and my manager doesn't want to be a partner of a business (2-3x more than his current salary) or switch jobs (make $30K+ more), all due to he wants to spend more time with family rather than be working longer hours for more money. That's a lifestyle choice, where there will be tradeoffs with every decision made (no right or wrong, we are all different). He's been pitching me on this "passive income" dream life, where he wants to work less hours and earn the same pay rather than be stuck fulfilling the status quo.

I don't really believe in passive income, where you do little or no work and you get paid. There's going to be some degree of work and that's all relative to how someone identifies what is considered work. 2 hours of work can be deemed a lot for some and nothing for others. Wanting to escape the rat race to pursue potential life changing opportunities, that's just how they pitch it you.

Also following these so called steps they identify that will make you successful is generally isn't entirely true. It's like saying if you go to school, get good grades, you'll land a good paying job. There are fucking MBA's that working like $50K and under jobs. If everyone that followed this so called steps, everyone would be millionaires at young age...

i think with passive income options, there's still no free lunch. you gotta do your research, set it up, risk management, etc...goes back to what you're saying.

i have a few passive options, nothing that will help me retire early, just let me buy a $5 latte and not feel guilty :lol

:okay:

OMG, the beautiful sound and smell of rain. Oh how I missed you.

Thank you, rain gods. This is Vancouver, it is supposed to rain. Beautiful, beautiful rain. To wash all the evil away. I am going to go outside and dance in it. Look up into the sky and just laugh and laugh and laugh as it hits my face. I am going to invite all my eyetalian neighbours to do the same............. best wet t-shirt contest evar, gulolol. Nothing like a neighbourhood dance in the rain.

Having said all that, be careful on your drive today, RS. All the chemicals and oils on the roads that have been accumulating over this extraordinary dry spell we have had are going to make it more than just slippery. The white foam on the roads is a sign of very slippery conditions. Be careful out there.....................

IIRC someone here once posted a link where you could filter by vehicle type/year/colour etc. to see how many were made. Does anyone know which site this is? My google skills are lacking this morning it seems.

donk. 08-08-2021 01:09 PM

Got some new glasses, they offered blue filter, so i said why not

God dam, the world looks so much better with these, its like photoshop in real life

Also see if your wipers are still any good. The drivers side one on my wifes car decided to ditch the little clip that holds it to the arm at 70km/h. Luckily I didn't lose the whole wiper but I had to swipe the clip from the passenger side so I could get home.

Going to go down to 14 degrees. Then Thursday up to 34 degrees with “feels like 41”

GLOW 08-09-2021 07:14 AM

just in time to test out my costco unit

MG1 08-09-2021 11:05 AM

yeah, I might as well, too. Thing is, I don't really need to. Maybe if it's more efficient than my older units.

Sourdough Chicken Club sandwich is back at Burger King.

I'm thinking, wait a minute........... CLUB sandwich, like BLT (Bacon Lettuce & Tomato) stands for Chicken, Lettuce Under Bacon, so they should have just called it Sourdough Club Sandwich.

Anyway............... it's back.

MG1 08-09-2021 07:20 PM

^well, that explains a lot, Gulolol.

Is that why I get Andy Griffiths ads?

SkinnyPupp 08-09-2021 07:25 PM

Yes and I get nothing but Xperia 1iii ads, I suppose because I recently bought an Xperia 10iii (which BTW I'd buy 4 of these before I got a 1iii, and still save money)

It's nice to see other countries giving their support. Just 25, but it sends a message that in the eyes of the world, it isn't cool.

As for Schellenberg, it's a different story. Dude was involved in criminal activity. His sentence is now the death penalty, from an original 15 year prison sentence.

StylinRed 08-10-2021 11:22 PM

Well at least he's getting deported, just a matter of when theyll do that

Raccoons are stealing my eggplants that are in grow pots. I'd move them to my house at night, but I don't want any bugs. Any low cost solutions?

Was wondering where all my eggplants were going.. need to get these fuckers away before they eat my tomatoes.

MG1 08-15-2021 01:40 PM

Raccoons are fierce animals. Don't cross paths with them.

You can set live traps to catch them. Problem is what do you do after they are in the cage? I've caught rats and squirrels with live traps, but they're pretty small compared to raccoons. Then there's a chance you'll catch a skunk with the larger traps. Lol.

The squirrels and rats I've caught were released far away. They usually piss and shit all over the cage, so I have to place the cage onto a boot tray and cover the cage. Talk about rattling the cage. Squirrels getting squirly is kind of disturbing.

Razor Ramon HG 08-15-2021 05:31 PM

Yeah, probably not going to bother with traps.

People said that Irish Spring helps to repel them a bit because they don't like the smell so I went out and bought a pack to try. If it doesn't, I can keep the rest for showering, lol.

Also thought about setting up chicken wire, but it seems like they can get around it if they want to and I don't want them to climb it and fall on top of my plants and damage them.

Seems like some sort of motion activated sprinkler or super bright light to blind them might work. Some people just poison them, but I don't want no dead coons on my property.
