Replaced the toilet flapper because it kept getting stuck and water would run continuously every once in a while. Now the water keeps running every 15-20 minutes to refill the bowl because the water level in the bowl slowly drops over time.
Thoughts on what it could be? I'm thinking of buying one of these to replace the whole valve including the gasket between the bowl and seat.

When you say “bowl” do you mean the tank?
Is the chain from the lever to the flap just a little too tight? Holding it up just enough to let water pass
Universal flap? OEM?
either the flapper is not forming a tight seal or the gasket between the tank and the bowl is starting to wear away.
let the tank fill, then turn off the valve so it can't refill. let the leak drain the tank. check back later and see if there's a little bit of water at the bottom just up to the flapper. if there is, then the gasket is likely fine and the flapper is the problem. if there is no water left, then it's potentially the gasket.
i have the same issue once in a while. sometimes the chain pulls the flapper at the wrong angle (chain floats to the side? i dunno).
i just lightly press the switch to tug on the chain and that fixes it. i can hear a trickle and that's when i know the flapper didn't close centre
yes it's annoying
i'm reading bobinka's post looking at his avatar thinking it's very appropriate
Hate that shit when it happens, when the flappers gets replaced. Literally have to leave the toilet cover off to fine-tune that bitch until it is fine. I remember the last time I replaced mines, the damn chain was so fucking long, had to cut it to proper length.
It seems like the mouth of the toilet tank is close or almost at the bottom so it's inconclusive whether or not its the flapper or the gasket when I let the water drain to the bottom. However, I played with the flapper and the time between refills is not as frequent now.
Don't think it's an issue with the chain because the flapper opens and closes fine.
Just hope I don't actually have to swap out the whole valve flush. I tried removing the nuts that held the tank to the seat earlier and it just wasn't happening, lol.

Whenever I get those 1-8XX numbers or those numbers that are out of province, I'm just begging someone to be on the other line, so I could bitch the fuck outta them. 99.9% of the time is some automated bullshit, literally get like 5 of these calls a day. Annoying because it goes to voicemail and I gotta listen to that shit in order to clear out my vmail inbox.
I've been getting 1-2 calls in the afternoon from random business phone numbers in Ontario. Sometimes the number is from the States; I don't pick up any of them regardless.
My favourite was when I had someone pretending to work for Microsoft telling me I’d been hacked and was asking me to verify personal information. I said “well hold on, I work for Microsoft too let’s get my IT guy on the phone!”
For some reason he hung up.
