can anyone tell me what is the difference btwn BCID and BC Service card, for those who doesn't drive?
What is the point of BCID if BC Service card has photo and DOB + MSP#
Do they need both cards?

ssjGoku69 12-08-2021 12:59 PM

BCID serves as a second piece of ID if they don't have a driver's licence. Easier than carrying a passport around

BC Services Card = CareCard = Health Card

EvoFire 12-08-2021 01:04 PM

Is the health number not part of the BCID/BCDL now already?

Only if you choose to I think.

It's not if you choose to have it as two separate cards.

A pair of road raging lunatics on Highway 1 in North Van.

Endangering the lives of other drivers in the highway.

https://www.reddit.com/r/vancouver/c...tm_name=iossmf

In the clip the two small cars can be seen initially weaving across three lanes of westbound highway as they approach the Westview Drive exit. Eventually, they get side-by-side and it looks like one is trying to force the other to the side of the highway as they share a single lane.

As they approach the exit the pair split apart with the one on the left going further left, around a pickup truck, accelerating and then flying right across two lanes of highway (in front of the truck and the other car involved in the incident) before heading down the exit).

Anyone been to C&K Collision in Burnaby before?

Thinking of going there to get some paint damage on a rear bumper fixed. They quoted me a reasonable price and the owner/manager seemed nice and knowledgeable.

Don't know why, every time I drive out now, literally have to honk at "someone" at least once. E.g. Idiots driving 40km on a single lane then they are hitting their brakes about 2 blocks length before the next vehicle ahead, or the fucktard that turns on their left signals at the intersection when the light goes green......

Exactly how I feel. Also the same ppl that cut into an open lane to go 40. Fuck off!

StylinRed 12-17-2021 04:31 PM

Been noticing that a lot more lately, with ppl who have vision problems in the rain, and can't keep it between the lines

and idiots that travel below the limit, are braking at every bump, intersection, n Lane change that happens 10 car lengths ahead of em, yet have this need to be in the passing lane

punkwax 12-17-2021 05:11 PM

Totally agree but nothing infuriates me more than late blinker guy. I have a friend who used to do that and I’d give him shit every time he did it when we used to carpool. That was years ago. Hope you’re not talking about him :lol

The visibility of lines on the road in Vancouver around this time of year (rainy and dark) is atrocious. I can't see for sh*t. Why can't they come up with reflective paint to use for painting the lines I'll never know! I don't think it's just people with vision problems.

:werd:

Parts of SE Marine Dr - not the newly painted bits near Knight St Bridge - are nearly invisible when it rains hard. Same goes with the swervy section between Arthur Laing and Russ Baker Way towards Richmond.

they'll get right on it...for bike lines... Kappa :troll:

:okay:

westopher 12-17-2021 07:26 PM

They are so bad in North van with all the new bus lanes and shit. The thing is they just paint the old lines black, and the white lines are basically black when they are soaked, so both just look like shiny lines and you can’t tell which is which.

coneZONE 12-19-2021 07:16 AM

even when it's not raining, you know the section of 13th Street between Lonsdale and St George where ICBC used to be, it's like someone decided the street they designed in Lego City is perfect. It swerves left and right and the left lane suddenly changes to a turn lane and you gotta swerve right to go straight

And the new barrier for bike lane they added to Still Creek even though there is already a massive paved bike path. That's were all the trcks wait to load and unload stuff for Standard Bldg supplies. Everyone has to cut across the yellow line to pass. Also cut down the space before the intersection at Douglas so, before when there was a train crossing, only the left turners get backed up. Now there is no right side so all the right turners are stuck too when there's a train.

I fucking swear these people who approve this shit don't even drive cars (in that area at least).

I don't know why they don't embed the reflectors into those grooves over here like they do when you drive out farther east
