Seriously? You need to go out more often ... :lol I find BP SO expensive for the Americanized version of pizza ... and the size. Typical: $14.99 for individual, $20 for 10" small, $28 for 13" medium, $35 for 15" L ... !!! |
Unless you’re buying by the slice pizza is getting pretty crazy Like two larges from Pizza Garden pushing $60 delivered now |
Pizza Garden's prices have really gone up recently ... I like their thin crust Neopolitan style but can't see myself paying like $10 for 2 slices. Of course, pizza is very subjective. If you want avg run of the mill pizza, even Domino's has like 2 mediums for $24.99 special. But I usually go to the closest Indian pizza joint, love the naan like crust and usually pretty reasonable price (2 for 1 deals). Eg. Papa Days on Knight. Mon special one large $9.99. Or Pizza Factory always hits the spot. If you're in Queensborough area: https://queensboropizza.files.wordpr...-pm.png?w=1024 Here's another on Victoria: http://supremepizzavancouver.com/images/2022-menu1.jpg |
I dislike Supreme Pizza… but then I also hate oily Pizza Hut style and they’re very similar |
Personally I like Greek style pizza the best, that kinda greasy pan pizza style The thing I like about pizza garden is the ingredients actually seem to be decent quality and don’t leave you feeling disgusting after like a Pizza Hut etc. lol Neapolitan is ok, but even fancy places like Via Tevere etc. give me a good Greek style over that any day |
there's one conveniently nearby, so i would sometimes go there at lunch or after work in pre-covid days. earls/cactus are more expensive and way busier and are the only other options nearby of similar food & drinks. their kids meal isn't terrible so we'd go as a family sometimes. i like that i can actually get a table. i kind of like their knockoff of the big mac pizza & spicy chicken pizza, and their brute sandwich was nice. at my previous work location the nearby BP's had a lunch special for a half brute for like $10 and it was awesome, the one by my house only sells the full unfortunately. but ya - the above 3 locations i noticed have had price increases, regular & happy hour menus, and happy hour times shortening |
We don’t do pizza often but for kids birthday parties Newton pizza is pretty damn good and like $55 for 5 large 2 topping pizzas lol. Actually, just checked their site and the price is now $65.71 so it seems everyone is adjusting for ingredient costs raising? Their south surrey location makes good za anyway.. |
I love the Greek stuff too. Edmonton was the best for that. I still like the Neapolitan style stuff. Bufala or farina for the thin stuff AJs for New York or Detroit style Pizza pizza for cheap shit |
Pizza Garden is my go to place when I want to eat a quick pizza bite that's still I guess considered not greasy lol. |
|
I just can’t go there and not get spaghetti and meatballs and the big Tony pork chop. Taking my mom there next week for her birthday. I can’t wait. |
Oh yea, the pork chop is so good |
You guys ballin… driving M3’s and eating $30 spaghetti and meatballs cruisin round on X-Ice 3’s instead of tiger paws |

https://scontent.fyvr4-1.fna.fbcdn.n...mQ&oe=61D05845 Great deal for anyone who has yet to own it. Includes base game + ALL DLCs Honestly it is one of the best driving game that tips ever so slightly to the arcade side (nothing too hardcore compare to actual sims). But way more realistic physics compared to anything Gran Turismo or Project Cars 2 (I havnt played PC3, so I cant comment lolol) |

If I want to overpay for a pizza I'll go to Virtuous Pie... lol |
So I pulled out a small electric space heater that was unused for a few years, and no matter what outlet it goes into, after running it for a few minutes the plus gets warm. It's not too hot to touch, but it's definitely warmer than anything else (no, the heater isn't facing the wall). Is this normal/safe, or should I just replace it? |
the plug like the head end of the cord? or are you talking about the outlet itself, or both? what's the wattage on the unit? is it running full beans for a long duration? a 15amp circuit is technically rated at 1800w but you really only want to load it at 80% (1440w), so if you're running a heater with high wattage that could be the reason, and don't be surprised if your breaker trips. mind you that's only if you have nothing else on that same circuit, if you have something else on that same circuit then you add that wattage on top of your heater... if you have a 20a circuit then you will have 2400w (1920w @80%). |

I guess the breaker will trip before a fire, but I've never had a plug get hot haha. |
unless you're running heavy loads with the heater on at the same time like an appliance i doubt it'll trip. my vacuum cord warms up too. i just gave you an essay b/c i see/hear heater issues and often it's related to overloading the circuit, or the heater going on/off consistently <-this caused a PITA at my old house to troubleshoot trying to find which connection in the house got loose as a result :lol |
