Why pay anything? Just defer. It’s the best loan you could get

If everybody did that, how would we fund schools, infrastructure, museums, art galleries, pot hole repairs, etc............

I’d rather you benefit from having to defer than the thousands of people who scam the system and actually pay lol, they will find a way

So in regards to my previous question about the vancouver boulion exchange, i went to the metrotown location yesterday

google gave me the straight exchange rate, 0.93 USD per Euro

VCBE gave me a rate of 0.91 so i thought that was pretty good?

$700 USD got me about 640 Euros

^ yes especially old folks living off of pension.

some do reverse mortgages too so that they get paid until they die while still living in the home they want comfortably.

anyone knows what's the diff, pros/cons of brushed vs brushless? (office hands here LOL) not sure if i need to spend $20 more for brushless. Just want to cut the odd thing here and there so i don't know if i need to spend more for it.

It's more energy efficient and arguably more durable. Brushless... since there's nothing to rub against, there's no friction (it's not entirely, but you get the idea). Might make sense if you use a tool very often or for extended period of time. Otherwise, there isn't much difference if you are a very light user or have a spare battery.

Just saw TOP GUN Maverick and it was EPIC!!!!!!!! As a kid who grew up playing flight sims (falcon 3.0, MSFS 3.0, Wings of glory, etc) and religiously watching the original TOP GUN, this movie was a real treat.

Gonna jump in on MS flightsim right now and play some of these TOP GUN maverick challenges they have for this new update.

Someone tell me what the difference is between these two mower/trimmer/blower packages. both are Ryobi 18V ONE+, both have a 16" mower.

https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ryo...ger/1001530544

https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ryo...ger/1001690167

From what I can tell the cheaper one has better batteries, the mowers are about the same, the more expensive trimmer has a slightly larger radius, the more expensive blower is more powerful, but bulkier. Anything else I'm missing?

The more expensive one is their newest tools. Brushless mower, trimmer, blower. Batteries look like the newer version too. Cheaper set isn't brushless.

EDIT: Also more expensive one says its the 18V ONE+ HP Brushless vs. 18V ONE+. HP being High Performance designation. The newer tools/batteries.

Prizes seem to have gone downhill? I was offered $2.50 off gas (not even sure where to use that) or a free coke if I bought a coffee..

Maybe someone who knows weed wackers can help me.

I'm trying to find out if a string weed wacker homelite ut33650a can be changed to a metal blade instead? Machine is probably getting overworked because the plastic that holds the string is melting.

Broadway in Burnaby has been closed off from Duthie to Lake City for so freaking long, I had forgotten how convenient it was. Well, on Saturday, I saw a car heading toward me from Duthie when I was about to turn off on Bainbridge to head south. Broadway is wide open all the way to Underhill Avenue. Fresh new pavement and smooth as a baby's butt. Now I can get to Lougheed Mall without too much effort. Bypass the Gaglardi clusterfuck. Now Winston Avenue is blocked off. Oh well, at least I can get there via Brighton Avenue to go to Coquitlam. or New West (via North Road).

This is pretty much my work commute. That road has been closed off for what feels like 2 years. It was originally supposed to reopen back in October. Clearly that wasn't the case lol.

Either way, I'm happy to see it back. It's so peaceful driving down that way compared to Lougheed where you seem to hit every amber.

To be fair, the old Broadway wasn't very safe especially with cyclists. I'm glad it's improved. Between road work and Trans Mountain work, that whole area hasn't seen rest in over 3 years.

Does anyone know if this pressure washer is good? or any other recommendations? Would just be using it to clean exterior of the house, stair railings, sidewalk...etc Is 1800 PSI strong enough?
It also doesn't look like it's on sale.

It’s probably not gonna be good enough to do much more than blow the top layer of crud etc. off a sidewalk.

Do you really need to buy your own? You can rent a $2500 Honda pressure washer from Home Depot for like $70 for the day

1800 psi not enough. I have a 3000psi Honda powered Ryobi and even with that it takes time to really get the walkways and driveway clean.

You want to look at the gallons per minute rating. 1800 PSI may be enough but if the beam of water is the size of a pencil eraser it's going to take you forever to clean.
