has anyone been to RR Buffet after price hike?
Can't believe price went up this much...
not sure if it's the inflation or they are serving better food.
Google reviews seems to suggest only thing that went up is the price, not the food.

^ me and the wife went with another couple a few weeks back. Didnt have any seafood worth a shit (muscles clams, didnt even have crab legs anymore), the sushi/sashimi bar wasnt there and no more prime rib. Only "roast beef" which is basically an overcooked POS shoe leather they try to pass off as beef.

Has your typical chinese stuff like sweet and sour pork, some orange chicken, wonton soup, but not impressed at all.

Just got back from brunch and a movie. Two of my kids took me out for fathers day. The third spent most of the day with me yesterday. Anyway, missed the baseball game today, but watched, what has to be this year's best movie, Top Gun Maverick. Man, that's what movies used to be like. No nudity, sex scenes, over the top (well, sort of), dumb special effects, etc. Good story line. Had something for everyone.

Anyway, Happy Fathers Day to all dads out there.

It's the bottom left corner. I took a closer look and it looks like the item isn't even resting on that corner. I just took a piece of wood, hammered it into the open spot and then just used some mending plates to hold the bottom and top half of that corner. I think it should hold since it'll only go up and down with a pallet jack.

It's pretty easy actually.

You drop prawn traps, usually anywhere from 250-350' deep. Use canned cat food as bait. Then just sit and wait (or in our case go drive the boat around).

These were in the water for about 6 hours and probably our biggest single day haul to date. When we go fishing on the west coast we leave them in the water all week.

ever get jerks cruising for traps and stealing your haul? i heard that's happened before.

Yeah it's been known to happen, but hasn't happened to us (*touches wood*).

I think boating is getting to be such an expensive hobby that less and less of the type of people who would thieve can get out on the water.

I mean, shit just the gas for 5 hours of running was $350. (And that's only 1/2 a tank)

Makes $200 filling the F150 feel not so bad.
