For used stuff the canadiangunnutz classifieds were pretty good. I haven't bought anything in a few years though.

Avoid most of the rest of the forum though, lots of low IQ right wing nonsense rattling around there.

Legit drove a screwdriver through the disc. If it's shattered you aren't getting anything off.

MG1 07-25-2022 08:44 PM

Take cover off the hard drive and put some shit or jizz on the disc(s) and let it sit for a while.............

Seriously, hard drives are hermetically sealed. Expose the disc to the elements should do the trick. If not sure, just scratch the shit out of all the surfaces. Multiple discs, get em all. Hell, run a huge magnet over the surfaces. Bury that shit in your cat's litter box, lol. Sandpaper, wire brush, whatever.

Cabela's, Reliable Gun, etc.?

I'm out the loop on this stuff, are trade shows any good in Canada for used firearms?

Il also add on to CGN forum as noted above, lots of selection, people are honest on there, Ive bought and sold lots of stuff on there.

Reliable is great, awesome staff, the used rack might be up your alley

Stay away from lever arms, bunch of degens over there

Hondaracer 07-26-2022 06:24 AM

CGN you need to have a certain number of posts etc. to get into the classifieds I believe

What type of shotgun? Cabellas etc. always has very limited selection, occasionally online you can find some over/unders etc. that other places don’t really carry.

I don’t recommend Italian sporting goods, swear the guys working there are fucking knobs. I go in there occasionally to buy my hunting licence and tags and since I’m only buying those I almost always get this attitude like “oh…this is all you’re here for?!?”

MG1 07-26-2022 09:10 AM

Spoiler!

I would scotchbright them after cleaning, then clean them off again. If you search: ISF brake painting, a lot of guys have done it the same way I mentioned. I just resprayed mine the same way and they turned out fine.

BTW, shameless plug: FS - '11 ISF complete front and rear brakes - $1500. Repainted calipers, new pads, freshly machined rotors.

MG1 07-26-2022 11:17 AM

Shameless, but nice................

I want to check out their classifieds but I'm assed to bother setting up a profile and post on that stupid forum :lol

Just looking for something fairly basic, a tactical-style pump action Remington, or Mossberg.

If you know which model you're looking for, might suggest checking out online retailers, gotendas prices are pre good

nismodrifter 07-26-2022 01:13 PM

need to dispose of used propane canisters for portable bbq.

Looks like you have to take them to the freaking landfill to dispose of??

https://www.rcbc.ca/recyclepedia/loc...ank+Disposable
I don't have that kind of time to drive that far.

Any other suggestions?

Hondaracer 07-26-2022 01:18 PM

I think the transfer station on Burnaby off still creek by Costco takes them?

The Zero Waste Centre on Yukon St. in Vancouver takes used propane tanks.

Recently my shower door decided not to open fully. Instead of opening 90 degrees, it only opens to a maximum of 45 degrees. Any idea what's wrong with the hinge and how I can fix this?

One of the hinges is out of alignment. It doesn't take much. Check out each hinge for movement and take it from there. Close door and check the distance of both.

Damn, that makes total sense! But what do you mean “check the distance”… check the distance of what?

Razor Ramon HG 07-27-2022 12:50 AM

Distance between the glass on the left and the door. If it's too close or too far it will affect the motion of the door.

You have an answer, but from that picture, that looks like a terrible design.....does the glass door open straight into the corner of the sink?

Hondaracer 07-27-2022 05:28 PM

Snowbirds are flying all over downtown and east van right now it’s loud AF

Do I really want you guys flying over my hood when your planes are all garbage and crashing?

Great68 07-27-2022 06:38 PM

If it makes you feel better the vast majority of Snowbird accidents were pilot error, not mechanical issues of the planes. The last one a couple years ago was found to be due to a bird strike

No, if you open the door more than 90 degrees, it will hit the front side of the sink before hitting the corner.

Forgot about the rules not sure if I can post a crazy accident video here but anyone see the accident at the Mirror concert in Hong Kong where a giant screen hanging from above came crashing down on a guy. All over YouTube pretty crazy.

Yeah, that was being shared like crazy through Whatsapp today. I feel like that dude is a vegetable at best after that. I'm surprised he didn't die right then and there based on the weight of the screen, the fall distance, and how it looked like it hit him square in the head.

There was also that video of the homeless dude throwing a tank at cars in Steveston, lol.
