Very common a few years ago for people to buy Korean branded computer monitors that came with lower grade Samsung or LG panels. |
Just finished shopping at Costco. Having a hot dog with my son. With prices higher on everything, the hot dogs are still $1.50. It’s because death comes to the person who decides to raise the price. I don’t know how they manage to keep it at that price. A loss leader, for sure, but there must be a breaking point. Must be the last thing on earth to not go up in price. Speaking of which, is Bons Off Broadway still under $3.00?. Not going to complain about the lack of onions, lol. |
They stilll have onions at Costco. You just gotta ask the lady at the counter for them. They were in little plastic cups if I recall. Along with jalapeños. |
It ain't about the 1.50$ hot dogs, it's moreso for people that go there for lunch, and the end up spending an extra 100$ on shit they don't need. Or end up buying their groceries for the week there, instead of IGA, resulting in a win for costco Same as dollar drink days at rotten ronnies, you go there for a dollar drink, and leave with 18.95$ less in your wallet |

I thought only my dad calls McDonald's "Rotten Ronnies" Which is extra weird in his case since his name is actually Ronald hahahaha |

WHAT??????? I stopped asking. Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle. This isn't a McPizza thing is it? |
I know it's only $1.50 but does anyone like boiled sausage? LOL I never once went to Costco JUST for hotdogs. After shopping, don't know what to eat for lunch, sure, grab one and go. But fight though Costco parking lot hell just for cheap hotdog? hell no! |

Proscan and RCA as companies don't exist any more. Proscan was the premium brand owned by RCA. The names like many other companies that are no more are owned by marketing companies. They sell the rights to the name to other companies/manufactures. Anyone buying a TV should spend 5 minutes at https://www.rtings.com/ . They do a ton of testing on TV's. |

That's like saying Audi, Lambo, Bentley, and Ducati don't exist anymore Since Porsche/VW owns them.... |
Not quite. Apparently it'd be like VW owning the Audi name but no longer making Audis. But if I decide to make a car, I can pay them and be able to sell the car I'm making as an Audi. Even though none of it really has anything to do with Audi. |
I used to have access to all kinds of graphic arts equipment. Retired and left it all behind. Used sublimation, vinyl, large format printers, etc. Heat presses, mug presses, etc. Even direct to fabric. I miss doing that stuff, so instead of spending tens of thousands on equipment, I decided to get a Cricut. Nowhere near the flexibility of a Graphtec or a Roland, but on a budget, the Cricut seems to be a good fit. I was wAndering if any RS members have experience with a Cricut. I just received my Cricut Maker 3 and finished setting it up. I'm not a crafty person, but have a feeling I'm going to be one with this machine. I can make decals for the car, do wall decorations and a whole bunch of other stuff. Fabric, maybe not, lol. It says even wood and thin foil, like WTF? Anyway........... Sublimation was my favourite, but I would have to invest in a printer that can use sublimation (Sawgrass) ink. Nothing like making mugs and stuff with images. |
I've seen foil wrap in the cricut section of Walmart, looked pretty cool My friend decorates cakes with her cricut, supposedly they discontinued their cake decorating line tho? But she had made pretty cool looking cakes |
Cakes? Damn............ |
lol yeah the cricut would cut up fondant/chocolate into cool shapes etc and she'd use it to decorate or combine to build 3D decorative pieces kind of a cake decorating cheat I guess :lol |
Yes you can make decals for your car. Don't have to buy cricut specific vinyl either. |

Canon Ecojet printers will accept sublimation ink, but you'd have to use ONLY sublimation ink in it. Otherwise you'd have to get a SG500 or something which is purpose-built for sublimation. |
Great ... starting today, companies (with 30 days notice) can pass the credit card fees to customers. First official one, I think, is Telus. |

The awesome thing about the Cricut accessories and materials, is that they go on sale at Michael’s, periodically. Tomorrow is the start of their 40% off Cricut accessories (mats, material, and tools) sale. |

And the ink is not expensive. Thanks, El Bastardo............ |
