lol, I guess props for a guy that bought a "delicate" car and actually enjoyed it instead of garage it. I only have 60k on my 2015 daily. lol, but thanks to WFH for the past 2 years.. |

I thought there was a BBQ thread, but hey this works too. I just "cleaned up" my BBQ for the season. Wife is pretty adamant that we are to be done with BBQ this year. The BBQ was a little crusty from the leftover bits, so I cleaned it all off and fired it up one more time to burn off any other leftover grease. A week later I opened it to check it out and found that there's surface rust where there wasn't before. What do I need to do to prevent that? Oil it? It sits in a covered patio so it doesn't get rained on. Starting to think I should have left the grease one and cleaned it in the spring instead. |
Yes, should've put a light coat of neutral oil on the grills after cleaning them |
I winterize my Kamodo, I pull the grills, give them a coat of oil and then store them in my shed. I grill on my Napoleon Propane Grill year round. |
Is avocado oil neutral enough? Almost want to scrub the rust off and just take the grill racks inside and just leave the shell outside. |

Not sure where to put this ... but for all Karens and Ken's ... some smart people decided to market this. Want to be a 'Karen'? Vancouver pop-up cafe offers terrible service and a bizarre dining experience |

has anyone bought anything off Alibaba before? My understanding is it's mostly for bulk purchases but some stuff is listed way cheaper on there than anywhere else. |

Most sellers on Alibaba will not sell a single unit as they have a minimum requirement. Depending on what the item you are buying is and if it's common, there might be some sellers that would be willing to ship you just one or two of the items. If you can find it on Aliexpress or Taobao, I'd recommend you get the item there. If you do decide to go with Alibaba, you probably want something like DDP where the seller will be responsible for the entire process to get the item to your door. Mine was EXW, so the seller made the goods available at the factory and I coordinated with PCB to get the items to Canada. https://www.meadowswye.com/resources/incoterms.htm Quote:

Reviewed below, all companies had the 7 year or more age, with whatever their "approved" company ratings are as per Alibaba. T shirts, with custom logo, ordered 1 sample from three different companies, complex logo. Each shirt was like 20$ plus the shipping. (Higher cost due to only one being made) The three samples I would say were 2/10, 6/10, 8/10. One shirt showed up with these white mini fibers all over it, as if some dude picked it out of his overstock, slapped on a logo, and shipped it out. I ended up giving the company a 1 star rating, for the 2/10 t shirt quality. The sales rep messaged me instantly, begging to change my rating or she would lose her job, and that they could offer a refund if I increase my rating. Why the fuck would I let anyone else waste their money on this company, and why the fuck did you not check the t shirt prior to sending it out. Ended up ordering 50 t shirts from one of the other companies, got dinged with hefty duty fees locally The electric lighters with custom logo, i ordered a single sample from one company, cost me like 60$ or so (single print fee) I ended up ordering another 200 units. They were quality stuff. The 24x36 metal prints that I ordered were from three different companies. Garbage. Absolute garbage. One of them, the print literally missed a small corner, and they just glued on a color to match. Cheap metal, thin and flimsy. Ordered a single roll of carbon fiber wrap, this was good quality, lasted me 3 years on my car. What I learned: Yes you can get singles. I would highly suggest always getting samples. Most of the stuff is garbage. You get what you pay for. Communication is good, shipping is easy. Don't use a normal email, Alibaba companies trade emails with each other like spit in a swingers party. The prices you see, are generally for MASSIVE orders, to get you click on their listing, then the truth comes out. It's all clickbait. Duty fees take away all your "savings" vs buying locally, always use USPS if possible |

I was not expecting much. But it's actually very well done. One sentence struck me hard "I compare harm reduction to this, let's do a drunk driving program, and if we are gonna do proper harm reduction, we have to teach people how to drive drunk". Shows how ridiculous many liberal ideologies are. What they are proposing is not compassion or care for those people. But simply a fucked up way of saying "oh... yes, we are doing something". I've said it many times before... when we do something so superficial just to satisfy our illusion that we are actually helping those in need... we aren't making things better. |
Wtf... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...00006604837090 mississippi-day-care-employees-fired-over-viral-videos/ This is so fked up She should be arrested. As a parent of 3yr currently going to daycare, i couldn't even watch the whole clips. Made me sick to my stomach. |
Thanks guys, I'm looking at a snorkel for my Jeep and they're $40 US + shipping each on Alibaba or $170+ CAD delivered everywhere else. I found one seller that allows quantities as small as 2 (with a price drop for 10+) which works well since I have a buddy who wants one too. I'm just not sure if it'll be a huge hassle or full of hidden costs that end up making it not worth it. |

Anybody know if Costco still carries MusclePharm CombatPowder whey protein? Didn't see it at Poco last time around, not sure if OOS or they no longer carry it at all, which would be disappointing. 320iCar? |
i use aliexpress not alibaba -things can take a very long time, 3months+ -you need to keep an eye out on your insurance time, i think it's like 45 days to file a complaint? i tend not to listen to the sellers that just say please wait and do no action as i think they just want the time to run out, some will extend the time based on delivery, those are the ones that actually sent something -quality is what it is, i've bought mostly clothes and 'lego' and small electriconics/knick knacks. it's basically night market with long lead time. |
