That's what I'm doing at least...

Those things usually have age limitations... 18-30 in most places... and I think like NZ won't give you one unless you're <35 or something?

Look around you guy, no one looks like you, guess who everyone is going to jump on if a fight pops off? You.

I've seen that happen so many times in places like Thailand or Philippines (Thailand in particular). Drunk white dude starts a fight with a random Thai over money or some shit, suddenly he's getting shit kicked by 10 dudes/women.

It's hilarious to watch.

If you're a foreigner in a spot surrounded by locals, take your L and move the fuck on.

Colonialism is a helluva drug.

I always sorta cringe when people (almost always white) say "Oh the locals are wonderful, they're so FRIENDLY to you" like they're describing an amiable dog or something.

Yeah no shit, cause they see you as a meal ticket. Try being a non-white traveller, no matter how much money you have you'll never get the same red carpet treatment as some broke-ass pasty faced backpacker from Brisbane/Bristol/Brussels. But yeah push them far enough or someone not in the service industry used to groveling and they'll throw down and fuck your shit up. Asian countries I'm looking at you in particular.

This is correct, or in gerbs situation since he can WFH, he can just go on a "vacation visa" and keep working KEKW

^ does that age rule have anything to do with healthcare and the possibility of medical expenses? Curious as to why 18-30.

Badhobz 11-02-2022 07:16 PM

https://www.androidpolice.com/google...el-7-pro-free/

In the US google store they are offering insane money for trade ins. My old iPhone XR is getting 415 dollars USD!!! They were also offering 10% off for google one subscribers so it came to only 120 usd for the phone.

Take a look if you guys want a pixel 7 or 7 pro.

Edit: I didn’t buy it yet, I’m stuck in Montreal so I’ll do it when I come back.

35 limit most places iirc, ex gf did it a few years ago and I considered doing the same but just missed the limit

Been in Australia for the past week, everything is way more expensive than it was a few years ago, still slightly cheaper than vancouver though!

Weather is a bit chilly tho, low 20s high teens, definitely better than the weather in van atm :lol

This plumber thinks it's mostly due to age demographics

A healthy country needs a "younger" median population age, otherwise there is too much consumption, and not enough production

Cough Italy cough

^They also don't want you to stay if they can help it. Youth are likely more transient and less likely to plant roots.

Back when I did it in Australia 10+ years ago it was 18-30 and a 1 year limit. They also limited the time you could stay at any one job to 6 months. It was a "Working Holiday" not a path to permanent residency/citizenship (tho many do). Many people did fruit picking or hospitality jobs to fill that type of shortage but I managed to get contract work related to my career. Still tho, I checked out after 3 months to take on more "holiday" even though they offered to extend my contract.

Gerbs 11-03-2022 11:47 AM

Nice works, if we order from US would we get dutied or should I ship to blaine/PR?

Badhobz 11-03-2022 12:05 PM

i dont think you can ship it to canada. it has to be blaine/PR.

StylinRed 11-03-2022 10:05 PM

I don't get an option to trade in :/ it's greyed out for me! Maybe it's cuz I'm trying to access the US store from Australia

roastpuff 11-05-2022 11:14 AM

I ordered the trade-in Pixel 7. Trading it my mom's iPhone 11 and being offered $510USD wtf

mikemhg 11-05-2022 11:46 AM

Moving from Apple to Android eh?

I've always been tempted but I feel stuck in Apple's ecosystem.

MarkyMark 11-05-2022 12:39 PM

lol that sounds like basically everyone with an iPhone. They all want to try Android but Apple has them so locked in they just don't bother. The amount of people who won't leave because of iMessage alone is staggering, they really know how to trap people

Do it !!

Badhobz 11-05-2022 12:54 PM

This promo is insane. The trade in offers from google are nuts. Similar trade in from Apple.ca for the iPhone xr is like 110 dollars. Vs 415 USD.

No, it’s my wife. She wants to go back to Android after trying out iPhone. A bit more complicated, it’s iPhone musical chairs lol. My wife’s iPhone 12 is going to my mom who is on an iPhone 11 which is then getting traded in on the Pixel 7 for my wife.

I know! It’s more than what the local market is willing to pay for iPhone 11/12. I make more money trading it in than selling.

At least the iPhone works perfectly lol

Unlike when everyone was about that BB messenger BS with completely inferior phones lol

MarkyMark 11-05-2022 01:28 PM

The one thing I appreciate that Apple does is they don't treat the smaller version of the phone as an inferior model. Both Samsung and Pixel give the larger versions of the phone a better screen, better camera, even better charging speeds.

Some people just prefer not having a huge phone but don't want to lose features because of it.

Badhobz 11-05-2022 02:11 PM

Wish they made a “pro” version of this iPhone 13 mini. Would be the best. I love the easy one handedness. Last thing I want is to carry around a tablet phone.

I’d try that Samsung zfold 4 but it’s 2k+ and it’s thick as hell. Doesn’t seem like such a good idea.

Went on a date with a girl from West Van a yr ago. One of her deal breakers was that i wasn't a Steve Jobs fan and was obviously poor because my texts to her iphone were green :lol

She was pretty pro China but my poverty spec Xiaomi was no good

radeonboy 11-05-2022 03:08 PM

^i thought those people were on WeChat and don’t use iMessage..

What a weird thing to be hung up on - Steve Jobs and green bubbles..

Badhobz 11-05-2022 03:14 PM

rather see a blue bubble around her cry emojie than be caught dead with your green bubble smiley face. HUMPH! peasant !
