The medical system in this country is unravelling and so much of it is due to inefficiencies. |
HHOF ceremony ... Sedins are up if you want to watch! |
Canada needs to open up its health care system to people trained elsewhere.. Have two friends in Australia one is in Kinesiology and does physio, rehab in hospitals, etc. the other is an X-ray tech, both trained and worked in both Australia and the UK and have 10+ years experience. In order for them to work in Canada they’d have to go back to school full time for 2 years and then get paid 35-50% less than they make now. |
^ just make the licensing to Canada standards 3-4 months, have them write a certification exam and let them practice here ... 2 yrs is ridiculous !! |

Doc says he'll only have 1-2 years to live with heart failure that'll likely kill him. He's already on heart pills but the little guy now has this crazy looking scar. I get chicks dig scars, but he looks like a biker thats been in a knife fight. https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/...49/977/aba.gif https://i.postimg.cc/CMXhqc2v/IMG-6747.jpg |
When my dog turned 15 in 2021... she was diagnosed with a cancerous sarcoma on her leg... 3 different vets including Boundary Bay told me to amputate her leg, said the cancer would spread to her lungs, etc... or they suggested I go to Calgary for radiation treatments that were going to be $50,000+ nevermind living in Calgary for 2 weeks or so... I couldn't cut the cancer off because there's not enough skin on the leg to close the wound... I spent a lot of time reading up on sarcomas and how they're not very likely to spread and decided to just let her be since she was 15... they told me 6-9 months max to live. Well, it's been 1.5 years now, she turned 16 in June this year... and will be 16.5 soon... the sarcoma hasn't really gotten any bigger and she's happy as can be, doesn't even notice it. I just put on a sock on her leg to cover up the bump so she doesn't lick at it or bite it. I know one way or another her time is short, but I'm sure glad I didn't follow any of their massively expensive recommendations without any questions. She uses both her front legs so much just digging and playing and she can still see perfectly, just a bit deaf... so she's acting like she might make it to 17 or even 18 who knows. If I had amputated her leg like they all wanted, I think she would have fallen into a depression and died for sure. I also started giving her dog friendly CBD oil recently because I know of at least 1 other person who has a large dog with a leg sarcoma that has been living with it for 3 years and the sarcoma all but disappeared with CBD oil... I am hoping the same will happen for her too. https://i.imgur.com/IdLex6Q.jpg |

kinesiology and x-ray tech don't fall under a similar umbrella? maybe the diff is medicine vs health care |

Hahaha I can't afford a LV dog carrier... maybe I should have lined up at the Herschel sale if they had one. Nevermind the fact if I tried to put her in something like that she would summon up a 2 year old version of herself and fight me tooth and nail :D |

Both super intelligent people with the wife of the couple growing up and still having her parents in Vancouver. They would have even bit the bullet of the high cost of living to come to Canada if that was a possibility. However it just wasn’t feasible in the least for either of them to reach the requirements to come work here so now they have a baby and a house in Australia and Canada is without 2 more professionals |

https://i.postimg.cc/PxwDJR3s/fd6c76...ae4aafc6f9.jpg https://gaycarboys.com/koda-unveils-.../gay-car-news/ ŠKODA has unveiled the ultimate baby buggy, dubbed the ‘RS Mega Man-Pram’ – a high performance vehicle that has been designed to provide the ultimate baby transportation experience. To celebrate the international launch of the Octavia RS – the fastest ŠKODA ever – the company gave a team of engineers the task of bringing the same qualities that go into the car to other everyday objects. These included the RS Man-Pram and were highlighted in a new ad launching the third-generation Octavia RS. The pram’s RS style makeover fits perfectly with a ŠKODA-commissioned survey of 1,000 dads which found that two thirds (76%) admitted they would spend more time pushing baby if they had access to a higher spec and more stylish buggy. The result is a remarkable baby carriage: standing 1.5 metres high, the buggy comes complete with wing mirrors, hydraulic suspension, 20 inch alloy wheels, oversized brake callipers, anti-stress grips and a headlamp beam for night walks. Tots lucky enough to be carried on board can look forward to “sports-style upholstery” and “adjustable lumbar support”. Heidi Cartledge, Head of Marketing at ŠKODA UK comments: ‘The ‘RS Mega Man-Pram’ proves what you can do when you take the RS vision off road and drive it straight into the nursery. We used it in the new Octavia RS TV ad because we wanted to bring to life the idea of enhancing the performance of everyday objects. The high tech-buggy gives a tongue in cheek sense of what you could experience if you RS’d your life’. The ŠKODA survey of British dads uncovered the most desirable additions to a high tech stroller which were reflected in the ‘RS Mega Man-Pram’ design. The full spec includes; ■ Wing mirrors ■ High-spec brakes including brake lights ■ High-beam headlamp ■ Hydraulic suspension ■ 20-inch alloy wheels ■ All-terrain tyres ■ Oversized brake callipers ■ Anti-stress push-bar grips ■ Sports-style upholstery The ‘RS Mega Man-Pram’ features in the new advert for the Octavia RS, which has debuted exclusively on YouTube |

We should receive a text message this afternoon for the BC Emergency Alert system as a test of the system. -just got the text now. |
For some reason, it didn't trigger a sound this time. I usually have my phone on silent and I remember some of the alerts (amber alert?) triggered my ring tone. |
